Handover protocol

3 posts in this topic

Hello,

I recently moved into an apartment. I had a quick look at the apartment and signed the handover protocol saying everything looks fine.

But after 3 days i noticed a small dent on the parquet flooring. I have also taken the pictures showing timestamp.

Now am wondering if the landlord can hold me responsible for it just because it was not mentioned in the handover protocol?

thank you

Does it say anything on the documents that there is still a possibility of notifying damage only afterwards?

With all of your apartment troubles, have you not joined a Mietverein yet? They will answer all of your questions.

Meantime, I would go ahead and send the photos to your landlord just to document the damage. She/he might say you did it while moving in.

Did you check for mold and other things when you had a "quick look" before signing?
