@diego.hh thanks for the update.

Just an observation, your profile says you're from Schleswig Holstein is that true?

They are playing chicken with you. The borders are closed, they have to cancel.

@engelchen.

Not sure I had ever heard of "To play chicken". But I like it. I will steal it.

I didn't make up the idiom, but you're more than welcome to use it. :)

Yeah, it is like in the movies, when teenagers in the 50´s in USA where driving cars in opposite directions and then when they were about to collide, the first to avoid the crash was a CHICKEN.

Like in the movie Revel without a cause, there is a chicken run scene, I will watch it NOW

I know it doesn't matter, I was thinking of something else,  just a busy day.

Daughter's friend postponed the wedding to August. I think she should have made it September just to be more cautious.

I mean, if I was getting married I’d just bring it forward and get it done ASAP. Keep it minimalist, do the legal stuff and let all the big things wait til it’s all blown over.

everything else I’d just cancel and chill.

why replan  when you’re absolutely in the dark? No point setting yourself up for more drama later on.

Exactly. Sensible would be a small civil ceremony now, if possible, and a party, if you really want one, could be held later when the all clear has been given.

Update 2.

Today I got a message from the landlady, asking if we wanted to reschedule, so I think she also consulted a lawyer and was advised to do a refund, I answered that it was not an option because we are 2 families, with children and scheduling will be difficult, so she did a refund through fewo, I checked this with Fewo and they confirmed that the refund was on the way, so I will have to wait some days to hopefully get the money back.This was only possible because Schleswig Holstein is closed for tourist, and you cannot rent a place if your tenants are not able to access.

Thank you guys for the help!

Thats awesome!

My flight to Ibiza is still going to they will not refund or negotiate 🤪 march 27

Thanks for updating

I am so glad it worked out for you, the whole thing seemed so unfair. What a relief. Here's hoping you can eventually have a holiday with your friends...

Fantastic outcome, Diego!

My daughter and son in law still have their flight booked to Gatwick from Dublin for the wedding. They are hoping Ryanair will cancel so they can get a refund. They are not going to cancel, because Ryanair's admin charges for cancelling are always higher than the flights themselves. They just won't fly if RA does not cancel.

Does anyone know if those charges have been relaxed due to CV?

Knowing the way Ryan Air charge, they will have doubled :( I would think they will not cancel the flight as they will have to repay everyone, if they let it run they will make money
