think we had it this year on May bank holiday for the same reason, but a few people dropped out as it was a good time for a long weekend away - so I don't think that will be a good date...

It was Frohnleichnahm or however you spell it! You do have a point there though about it being a long weekend. Does anyone know when Himmelfahrt is?

If we hire it out we can actually take our own drinks! I think on there they only sell apple wine and water.

 

So my suggestion if we go down that route is to organise a few crates of something depending on numbers! So the beer drinkers are also catered for then :)

plus somewhere to get them from, transport them etc... but we have plenty of time..

 

might be a nice thing for someone to check out a few hotels, no rush for that but it might be good to get most people who are staying overnight in the same hotel?

Obviously it has been a slow Monday in your offices today based on the length of this post

 

The Danish votes in the "who have a clue what they're doing six months from now" competition goes to:

15-16th - Easter no

22-23rd yes

then maybe even May

6-7th yes

13-14th no

 

As someone else pointed out, it is probably NOT a good idea to combine with a long weekend, as they're often used for going away or having visitors (not sure my parents could see the fun in a Britboard meetup )

I'm easy...nothing planned as yet for that far ahead! Altho I would say maybe not Easter weekend as mentioned before...family visits etc etc. Sounds like lots of fun! :D

I agree Easter is not a good weekend and while I am iffy about the mayday weekend it could be good for people who are travelling in!!!

 

I will put all the names into an excel sheet and work out majority over next few days!!!

No I would say you are just like me and most other people who have been completely overtaken by the world of planning in advance! You see ask me the end of March and it'll surely be different for April!

I blame the airlines, if tickets cost the same six hours in advance as six months in advance then we'd all be able to live fun, spontaneous lives...

 

Just a thought about organising all this, esp. for those who will have to stay in hotels - Does anyone know if there are any exhibitions at the Frankfurt Messe on these weekends? It can be almost impossible to get a hotel room in Frankfurt when there's a big Messe on, and I'm not sure if there'll be room for all of us to stay at Number10's apartment, even if it is sparkling clean :D

Seriously, i can probably comfortable accommodate 6 people at the apartment - maybe even more at a squeeze and with emergancy bedding !!
