but no today at all.

You heard it here folks, no racism whatsoever in Britain today. In 30 years, it's all been quietly solved.

My Canadian friends aren't too happy that their taxes will be paying for their security in Canada.

Can't please everybody.

Yes- this is becoming more convoluted, and more opinions in Canadian media that they should pay their own security costs if no longer working royals and off the Rota.

I do hope they can find their own way and  be involved in those organisations/charities that  are of interest  to them.

PS They do know there is no private medicine in Canada- so  will have to take their turn in wait lists!!   ( Am sure they will get VIP treatment anyway!)

Does the Canadian Dollar have the queen's portrait on it?

Although I don't pay taxes in Canada for the time being, I don't really mind and don't hold anything against them. Of course he was born into massive privilege, and will retain that regardless, but that's not reason alone to hate him. Plus, we all pay taxes for things we may not like, that's just how it goes. I'm generally anti-royalty in a vague sort of way, but I think most Canadians will quietly welcome them. Interestingly, their name-dropped Canadian friends are all in Conservative/Tory circles...

Apart from the $20, the coins all do, so yes.

So what was all the fuss about? Everyone gets to be happy. Yay!

I knew all the sensationalism would be proven to be bullshit.

Now if they could just be left alone for a bit. That would be nice.

Does no title mean he's not Prince Harry, or not the Duke of Sussex? or ???  As an American this stuff confuses me. Is he now just Harry Mountbatten?  :D  Can one of you clever Brits spell it out?

I think that he was born a prince and always will be one. I've never heard of a prince being un-princed. Maybe he will change his name to Harry Markle.  It's probably the Duke and Duchess titles to which the queen is referring which they probably give fuck all about.

I will defer to one of the clever Brits, of course.

In any event, a true love story.

It took me till about a month ago ( I´m a slow learner! ) to realise the fireman in this song who had a portrait of the Queen in his pocket..was not a reference to patriotism but the fact that it was a pound note with a picture of the Queen on it! I still love the song!
