I still reckon all this about Harry and Meghan is a deflection to the real problem in question but finally!

Hooray!

It is a very sad indictment of our times when the media would rather consistently cover Harry and Meghan because gasp they´re speaking out against the royals than give more than 2 or 3 lines to Andrew and his "penchant" for younger women (girls).

Still, that´s Murdoch and his ilk for you, I presume they´re all expecting a favour in return from the royals in the future.

Hooray!

Prince Andrew's accuser recently withdrew her allegations about having sex seven times with Alan Dershowitz, saying she "may have made a mistake". Alan Dershowitz, who vehemently denied her claims, saying he had never met her and had records to prove it, thinks Prince Andrew shouldn't have paid her off and was either badly advised, didn't do as advised or was encouraged by the Queen to settle to make it all go away.

Prince Andrew accuser Virginia Roberts now says she 'may have made a mistake' when she said she was forced to have sex with Alan Dershowitz at the bidding of Epstein - as she sensationally drops case

Alan Dershowitz: 'Prince Andrew should not have paid Virginia off'

Quote

… Dershowitz said that he believed that Giuffre had dropped her case at the urging of her lawyers, after he had painstakingly gathered travel and other records.

These, he said, irrefutably proved he could not possibly have been in the exotic places where she claimed to have had sex with him, including the convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein’s Caribbean island and New Mexican ranch.

Dershowitz told the JC that he believed that she knew her credibility would be “ripped to shreds” if she proceeded to trial. “She claimed to have had sex with me on seven specific occasions when I have never met her in my life and I have the documents to prove it,” he said during the interview in Tel Aviv.

… “Prince Andrew’s lawyers should have looked much more carefully at Giuffre’s credibility and probed very deeply into it,” Dershowitz told the JC.

… “Andrew was not well advised,” he said. “Or if he was, he rejected the advice. “Quite possibly, he was pressured by his late mother into making a settlement in the hope the whole thing would go away and he could return to royal duties.”

As well as Prince Andrew and Dershowitz, Giuffre had accused former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak, former Northern Ireland peace envoy and Democrat senator George Mitchell, former US Energy Secretary Bill Richardson, and other high-profile figures of having had sex with her, after the late disgraced financier Epstein allegedly paid her to do so.

I don't think that just because Dershowitz didn't have sex with her means that Andrew didn't. We've seen the photo of them together.

I don't think that someone who's prepared to make up such serious claims about one person is credible about anyone else. A photo of two people together doesn't prove that they had sex.

I was alluding to the fact that Dershowitz could prove he never met her.

I agree. We will never know what happened or didn't happen between her and Andrew.

What is it about the UK that the news is constantly full of what celebrities do?  Who said what to whom. Who cares. I can half understand where it might have implications for the monarchy but what Jeremy Clarkson or Piers Morgan thinks. Is that important?  .

Definitely not only in the UK. It is everywhere. Some people seem to live vicariously through celebrities.

Yes. In Germany as well, but can't imagine TV presenters here getting constantly in the national headlines.

Why, even the Guardian reports this "story". But, is it not disrespectful to call Their Royal Highnesses by their first names?

A bit puzzling: King Charles did not mention them in his Christmas Message. Does he not read the journals? Perhaps he has someone to read them for him😉

Barbara Cartland inspired.  His mother was a huge fan, and his ghost writer is into the same genre... Fietsrad will like this perhaps, even if most people would say "neigh".

" ... my recent loss of virginity ... with an older woman who liked macho horses and who treated me like a young stallion. 'I mounted her quickly, after which she spanked my ass and sent me away ..."

Margaret Thatcher: "I want my money back!"

(She did get OUR money back)💱

..

Prince Harold: 'I want my brother/family back!'

I think there may be situations where it is better to cut off contact. Might be a bit difficult to ignore his very famous relatives though, even when living in Californ-IA😕

Not completely clear if these were Harry's actual words, or translated.   Delightful either way.

Jeez, if I was beaten by a wet wipe brother like William, I would keep that secret.  Feel the shame ...

Harold Windsor deserves approval for refusing to shave orf his beard, seems to be a stronger character than his dad or brother, they obeyed Lilibet's instruction/order/request to do so!

Perhaps Harold would make a better monarch than those before him in the pecking order.
