John, if you managed to destroy the entire section by confusing your buttons, *you* are on a par with the masters: Peter Sellers (in "The Party"), Woody Allen (in "Take the Money and Run")... :D

Fraufruit--love Peter Sellers!

A friend of mine in our village, Pete,  80 years old and quite ill and a formerly  superb pianist, knew him well.

He told me a story about him being a right nutcase on tour in, I think, South Africa, in the 60s. Something along the lines of " we checked in at the hotel and he slid down the bannister at the reception  area whilst we were booking the rooms. "

Woody Allen : I use his name ( without permission ) in sales presentations for German health insurance when I tell potential clients they can´t get private insurance if they have had psychological  counselling the past 10 years or so.

" They don´t do Woody Allen films in Germany. In New York: fine. Normal. In Germany: you´re a nutter. "

:D

It is very true. German insurers are paranoid. I tell clients they would have had to know German to study psychology at British Universities a hundred years ago because the books were in German. Yer actual Jung, Freud etc.

I'm trying to figure out if somewhere in the above posts, there's a cryptic message replying to my question.

They're hidden once items are sold/taken/the poster marks them as no longer available.

It wouldn't be helpful to know that somebody sold a vaccuum cleaner six months ago. :)

On the left of the grey bar between the "start new topic" button and the blue bar.

going out on a limb here and guessing that it's a bug.  I've seen similar messages, but the issue usually resolves itself at some point.

Something to do with the server switch?  Really don't know, again, only guessing.  But it'll probably be corrected eventually, and if not, bring it to the attention of the only man that can help in such situations.
