I don't know. This woman is to smart and has to may connections to give up the rest of her life just willy nilly.

There is more to the story.

If she's guilty, it seems odd that she didn't flee to France. She'd have known the writing was on the wall when Epstein was to go on trial. Perhaps she's guilty and complacent. Or innocent and attempting just to keep private from the media. I've been wondering whether putting tinfoil round her phone was really an attempt to evade the FBI. She might have thought the media could hack her phone, as they did in the phone hacking scandal in the UK. And as pointed out here, she could have ditched her mobile phone completely if she didn't want to be tracked, which she would have been anyway, and certainly as soon as she took the phone out of the tinfoil.

Guilty or innocent, her situation in jail sounds grim. A reporter on BBC Newsnight (Ghislaine Maxwell denied bail in Epstein sex trafficking case) said that because she's on suicide watch the lights in her cell are on 24/7. Can't imagine what that would be like for even a few days, let alone a year if she's kept under these conditions until her trial. Perhaps she'll lose her mind through sleep deprivation and, if guilty, evade justice that way. ABC says that she's married but has declined to say who her spouse is.

If she's guilty, she's clearly in the right place. If she's innocent and falsely accused for money, she could still be facing the rest of her life in jail if the jury believes the accusers.

With the justice system the way it is working, anything is possible. (But that is the problem)
