You only insult when you are losing, but actually you are angry pretty much all the time.    Makes my heart feel warm.

Oh, my, you think you're winning. That warm feeling must be urine.

That's Q-speak. They're still deathly afraid of Killary and her hit squads.

President Laughing Stock

Quote

Vladimir Putin and Bashar al-Assad have been caught on video mocking Donald Trump.

At a recent summit in Damascus the leaders were filmed discussing the US president and using a biblical reference to joke about his personality.

During a visit to a Greek Orthodox church the pair discussed the biblical story of Saul’s conversion to Christianity on the road to Damascus.

God is said to have struck Saul, a Pharisee who persecuted Christians, blind, before the future apostle was cured and converted to the new faith.

In the video, posted to Twitter by a Russian journalist, Mr Assad is heard to say: “If Trump also travelled on this road, it would fix him.”

The leaders are both seen to laugh at the quip.

Mr Putin then urges his host to extend an invitation to the US president, adding: “He’ll come.”

“I’m ready,” says Mr Assad, to which Mr Putin replies: “I’ll tell him”.

The Russian president visited Syria for a surprise summit last week to discuss the military situation there, the Kremlin said.

Moscow is the Assad regime’s strongest backer in the Syrian civil war and the campaign against Isis.

Lev Parnas made an unsupportable mess of Donald Trump's impeachment defense. It's going to be hard not to call witnesses when the rebuttal of facts is required and still look like honest dealers.

On conspiracy nut Rachel Maddow's show?  You never learn.

A long dramatic process could be damaging for Biden's Presidential aspirations.

As soon as House Speaker Nancy Pelosi decided last month to withhold the transmission of articles of impeachment against President Donald Trump, critics asked whether it would be worth the risk.

The California Democrat made a historically unprecedented decision when she refused to transmit the articles to the Senate, the process which triggers an impeachment trial.

Pelosi's move came after Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell and several other Republican senators indicated that they were not only working hand-in-glove with the White House ahead of the trial, but that they would not bring witnesses in to testify.

In response, Pelosi withheld the articles of impeachment, freezing the process while Democrats and Republicans duked it out over the terms of the trial.

Last week, Pelosi finally announced that she would transmit the articles, after McConnell modified his position by saying that the Senate would decide whether to call witnesses after it received the articles.

Republicans reacted by declaring victory, arguing that Pelosi had still essentially gained nothing.

But a closer look at the timeline of events over the last several weeks paints a different picture. In fact, there have been at least 10 major developments since last month that dramatically raised the stakes of Trump's impeachment trial and forced congressional Republicans into a tighter box.

The House voted to impeach Trump on December 18. A lot has happened since then:...

here is what has happened

Donald Trump is finally getting a Ukraine investigation.

Quote

Ukrainian authorities said Thursday they had opened a criminal investigation into whether the former US ambassador to Ukraine, Marie Yovanovitch was under surveillance by associates of Rudy Giuliani while in Kyiv last spring.

Officials from Ukraine’s interior ministry announced the investigation in a televised briefing, citing a trove of documents released by House Democrats on Tuesday that included several cryptic WhatsApp messages between Lev Parnas and Robert Hyde that discussed monitoring Yovanovitch’s physical movements and electronic devices.

“Ukraine’s position is to not interfere in the domestic affairs of the United States,” an interior ministry official said. “However, the published records contain the fact of a possible violation of the legislation of Ukraine and the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations, which protects the rights of a diplomat on the territory of another country.

“Ukraine cannot ignore such illegal activities on its territory."

Trump's OMB violated the law when it withheld Ukraine aid, says Trump's own governmental watchdog.

Quote

The Trump Administration violated the law by withholding military aid to Ukraine, the U.S. Government Accountability Office said in a decision released Thursday.

"In the summer of 2019, the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) withheld from obligation funds appropriated to the Department of Defense (DOD) for security assistance to Ukraine," the ruling said.

Faithful execution of the law does not permit the President to substitute his own policy priorities for those that Congress has enacted into law. OMB withheld funds for a policy reason, which is not permitted under the Impoundment Control Act (ICA). The withholding was not a programmatic delay. Therefore, we conclude that OMB violated the ICA."
