Good advice Piggy.

Us men are notorious for not getting ourself checked out, especially when it's deemed embarrassing.

Luckily most men are always fiddling about with their balls, so any change there will soon be noticed.

Hope that your operation is successful and you can get back to your house renovations, and being the charming Piggy we all know and love.

Well... not that bad.. but not something I could get used to!...

Ah, male gynaecology...

Some sites promise ecstatic delight from prostate massage. Straight guys are supposed to find it sublime too. Just thought I'd chip in there, Spider.

Get well soon!

Getting up twice a night to go for a slash)...

So, During one of the later ultrasound scans, There was a " twang " of latex glove and the doc said... "Hold still, I am going to check your prostate"!

At 55, I've grudgingly had it done a few times.  Me house doc has great humour.  The first time he 'gloved-up' I told him, in most countries it's illegal to go the wrong way on a one-way street.  He paused, then got it, and laughed endlessly!

On your first part, SP, a wee joke.  Three old men sitting in surgery wait room.  One turns to the other and asks why he's seeing the doctor.  Well, he says, each morning around 5, I get up and about 6, I go for a piss, but I seem constipated and haven't shit for days.  Why are you here, he asks in turn.  Near on the same.  I get out of bed about 6.30.  Have a shit shortly thereafter but can't seem to make water.

They both turn to the third older gentleman and ask why he's here.  Well, each day about 6:30 I go for a wee.  About 7, a nice bowel movement.  My problem?  I don't get out of bed until around 8.

Good reminder as it's becoming a greater killer than Cervical or Breast cancer. At least you're getting it seen to so let's hope you make a full recovery.

More smooches coming, Spidey.

Himself finally got checked after I nagged him for years. Our Hausarzt told him that some men have to take a note home to their wives that they had it done.

Do keep us posted.

As one or two of you may know, I am in rather poor condition at the moment..  In and out of hospital and basically unable to function properly..

Started off as a kidney stone, but further tests are showing a rather enlarged Prostate gland.

At 54yrs old, its no real surprise as 50% of men over the age of 50 will start to have symptoms.. ( Getting up twice a night to go for a slash)...

So, During one of the later ultrasound scans, There was a " twang " of latex glove and the doc said... "Hold still, I am going to check your prostate"!    Well... not that bad.. but not something I could get used to!...

So guys, dont be shy... get yourself checked out!!     Dont just grow a mustache or shave you nuts in support of the awareness!

And girls... if your guy is heading towards the 50s... give him a nudge and get it checked out..

The levels of my discomfort are relatively high..   Operation in less than a week...

Prostate problems are not nessacarily booze or food related.. so no matter your lifestyle is... go get it checked..

Maybe JohnG can advise if this sort of check-up is covered by any insurance etc..

Get well soon, Spider. Indeed a warning to all us menfolk.

You can at least take comfort from the fact that your thread title is the most intriguing of this or any other century😂!

PS: public health Kassen pay for a check up for prostrate after the man has reached the age of 45 but people need to check with their own Kasse which tests are paid for.

If privately health insured - you need to check your tariff and ask your agent or the provider.

@SpiderPig: I wish you a speedy recovery!

To the lads 'round here: I was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at the age of 23... Getting that snake like camera shoved three feet deep into your arse heightens your sense of what "humility" actually is...

That gloved finger pushed into your mocca cave is in comparision literally just a visit to the petting zoo. Just get your sh*t together and get that minor procedure done for your peace of mind.

Mmmm! Kidney stones, or kidney pearls as I call them and arn´t you glad that you don´t have the 12"er you boasted with as a young man when them buggers come a rattling down the tubes?

Did you know that captain Kirk actually sold his kidney stone for 25.000 USD?

My FIL kept his kidney stones in an attractive little jar. I quite fancied making earrings out of a couple of the bigger ones.
