The folks at Quatsch have put another stellar show together for the October dates. From their website:

Quote

The summer break is over, which means we’re kicking off a new season of Strictly Stand Up! Enjoy three great international acts, plus our Berlin Spotlight.

Lois Bromfield (Canada)

Originally from Canada, Lois began her career in New York City and soon had her big break in LA, where she was part of the “golden age” of stand-up. She has shared the stage with legends like Eddie Murphy and Robin Williams, appeared on huge television shows like Roseanne and is also a very successful sitcom writer. Since she moved to the South of Germany, her comedy is more international than ever. Lois is a very likeable, very experienced comedian – a true legend of the stand-up industry.

Marcel Lucont (France)

The self-confessed “Greatest UK-based French comedian around” wins crowds over with his cynical character and arrogant observations. Performed by the very talented Alexis Dubus, Marcel has toured the world with his dry wit, bawdy chansons and exquisite sex poetry, pocketing multiple major awards along the way. He’s a flâneur, a raconteur, a bon-viveur and we’re thrilled to have him with us tonight.
“Fresh, accessible and hilarious.” – The Guardian

Paul Tonkinson (UK)

A sensational live performer, marathon runner and former (double award-winning) Time Out Comedian of the Year, Paul Tonkinson has long upheld his esteemed reputation as one of the finest stand-ups the UK has to offer. With a unique and distinctive style, Tonkinson is noted for his effervescent physicality and skillful impressions.
“Excellent… extremely talented… brilliant.” – Time Out

Spotlight Berlin: Carmen Chraim (Lebanon)

Born and raised in Lebanon, Carmen wins over crowds with her high energy presence and rapid-fire anecdotes. She has been performing stand-up comedy in English in Berlin for more than a year and a half, talking about her Middle Eastern background, passion for hummus, deep experience with corporate Germans and sarcastic political views. She also hosts her own regular open mic show on Mondays.

As always, your host is the lovely and talented Christian Schulte-Loh, that rarest of all creatures, a funny German comedian.

The Quatsch Comedy Club is a great, intimate comedy venue, with just 300 seats, in the basement of the Friedrichstadtpalast on Friedrichstraße 107.

Tickets start at €19 plus service charges, or free of service charges at the box office on the evening of the show (subject to availability).

There are free baby margaritas in the lobby before the show and happy hour afterwards, when you'll have the chance to chat with the comics, if you're so inclined. Doors open at 7 p.m.
