Looking for an interesting name for a real estate company

25 posts in this topic

Dear all,

I am just few steps away from founding my real state company.

The main idea is to use data mining to find relatively cheap real states.

The apartments will stay in the company for couple of years.

Also, I am working on a search engine which is designed for investors.

The pilot project was very successful and I also have support of a local bank for financing.

The only remaining thing is the name.

At the moment, I have two names in mind:

Moonwave Immobilien

Deutsche Bude

Which one sounds better? Any other idea is also appreciated.

Perfect name for a troll company.

I guess it depends a lot upon your target customers - are you aiming for English-speaking, or German-speaking?

For Germans, how about Immobilien Welle?

For english-speakers, why not stick to Moonwave Immobilien, and hope to get some custom from TT users based upon the name connection?

"Moonwave" sounds very psychedelic.  If your target customers are hippies, that would be great.  "Deutsche Bude" if you are selling to students.

It seems in Germany, the tendency is to use your family name.  Even when it sometimes conflicts with what you are doing - such as "Fleischmann Bäckerei" oder "Buchbinder Autovermietung".  If you don't have a German-sounding name, make one up.

Don´t use some weird pseudo-Name. Names for Immobilien companies Need to be solid, trustworthy and simple... really Spießig eben. Have a good Google and see what there is out there.

But it´s an interesting Question, how would I Name such a Company...?

Crown Immoblilen

Stein & Mörtel Immobilien

Don´t know where you are, but your state Name is good.

Bairische Immobilien.

You get the guist.

1. is the domain name and/or social media username that would correspond available?  If not, move on.

2. Nobody likes paying for it, and many people think "I'm a small business, it won't matter", but consider a trademark clearance search before starting to invest time and money in building awareness for your business name.  (a) can you use the name without someone successfully objecting to your use? and  (b) can you expect to protect the name?

Anything name with 'Moon' and property in it would give me connotations of remoteness, lifelessness and astronomical prices - sorry!

Why not a name to do with nature?

Eule (wise)? Nester(secure)?

Thanks a lot for your suggestions.

The Eule Immobilien was the one that I like more.

I like the fact that it goes towards symbols.

Right, reality check. What exactly are you wanting to do? You mention that any places you might buy will "stay in the company for a couple of years"  - and then what? Are you going to rent them out? You do know how many rights renters in Germany have, right? Nobody is going to buy a place who has someone living in them, it's a total nightmare to get them out.

The name - you're a foreigner don't forget and Germans don't like fly by nights, so choose a name that sounds VERY solid and trustworthy. It is of no relevance what you like or prefer as you want to sell to others. The names suggested here are far too out.

And thirdly, I somehow doubt you know what you're doing, looking at your other posts. You'd do well to really dig deep in what property in Germany entails and means.

Yes, I know. Owls are traditionally seen as being wise so that's why something owl-related might be used by the OP?

Just a suggestion

Wolf Immobilien

Current trend is to live in packs.

Also, the market is pretty savage in metropolitan areas.
