How can I get prepared at home for the SAP certification exams?

7 posts in this topic

Hello Everyone,

I would like to enter the following SAP certification exams from the cloud platform of SAP website.
therefore I am searching the ways how to train myself online - free. And also maybe with dumb questions.
I could not find the relevant content and resources for my selections. On the other hand I am also looking for someone who can help and train me
for this certification exams from skype in some evenings. So I will pay for sure We can discuss about it.
So you can also recommend me some websites to find this kind of people who are working as SAP consultant or have knowledge about SAP in  (PP,MM,SD,EWM modules) and can give
some lessons to me.

C_S4CPR_1902 - SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Cloud - Procurement Implementation

C_TS420_1709 - SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and Manufacturing (1709)

C_TS450_1709 - SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement (1709)

C_TSCM42_67 - SAP Certified Application Associate – Production Planning & Manufacturing with SAP ERP 6.0 EHP7

C_EWM_95 - SAP Certified Application Associate - SAP Extended Warehouse Management 9.5

Thanks in advance

For the SAP Learning Hub you need a license key and subscription. It's not free. SAP is not a philanthropical institution :).

The simple answer is no.  There are no end of books and materials for SAP, but as with many certifications they seem to me to be largely about selling training.

I did a quick search for the first of your exams and I found plents of "study materials" available to buy, many that look like a shady, posssibly illegal supplier of questions taken from the exam and I certainly do not make any kind of recommendation.  But if you are looking for an above board, reputable website that isnt riddled with malware and likely to sell your credit card details... nope.

FWIW I have some certificates issued by SAP for their commerce products and in my opinion they would have been impossible without access to the partner program (I no longer have access) and if I remember right the exams I did cost somewhere in the region of 400€ each per attempt.  Looking at the SAP website it seems the current price is indeed 400€ per exam, though there is a subscription model available at 500 per 12 months/6 exams so maybe it isnt *that* expensive.  Be cautious, as ever, of signing up to a subscription in germany.

Having looked at your other threads, I think you might need to rethink your strategy.  It is true that germany likes certificates, but I dont imagine the effort those 5 certificates will be will be worth it for you.  You can easily self study ITIL, scrum and a few other certificates that I think will add value for you.  Product specific stuff like SAP is going to be a pain.

Most SAP consultants work for partners and can get a license through the partner channel. You normally focus on one or maximum two modules like FI/CO or SD/MM. It takes 2 years minimum (training+experience) to be a fully certified consultant in one module. It also depends on your background. Customers want certified consultants and you need to keep up. S/4HANA is hot. Scrum too.

@zwiebelfisch: "no pain, no gain"

Hello Thanks for your comments

@zwiebelfisch and @LukeSkywalker I have changed the strategy and I decided for both below. I am quite determined to get those certification within 6 months. Actually my priority was to get certificated in MM module. However For MM module certification are only available on the location not as cloud exam. So I need to pay 400 Euro just for one exam. Therefore I found following second cloud certificate as related to MM.

C_TS420_1709 - SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Production Planning and Manufacturing (1709)
C_TS450_1709 - SAP Certified Application Associate – SAP S/4HANA Sourcing and Procurement (1709)

I have already 1 year ERP consulting work experience and I am quite motivated to study for those certifications. I will be open for any study recommendations.

I am currently thniking about buying the e-books from SAP press. What do you think about those sources. İt will be quite economic way in comparison with SAP learning HUB

By the way

I did not understand your following this statement @zwiebelfisch.  Could you explain?

"Be cautious, as ever, of signing up to a subscription in germany."

PP is more like a niche. Most implementations require MM, but not necessarily PP.  If you have sound knowledge and experience in PP, you face less competition from other consultants like you do with MM though. I use the e-books as reference, but use the hub for certifications, also because each chapter closes with a trial exam. The official certification is always in a classroom under SAP supervision. Normally, your employer will pay for that unless you're a freelancer where you pay it yourself, but perhaps that would be tax deductible.

Zwiebelfisch is refering to yearly autorenewals with German subscriptions and that you need to cancel this in advance.
