The 2020 US Presidential candidates

Expecting Biden to win a squeaker but it's only due to absolute luck. Trump should have been another Carter.  I highly recommend following @RachelBitecofer  for on this theme.

Some interesting links for political junkies.

Expected outcome (no link) Biden Wins GOP holds Senate and blocks everything Biden does for the next 4 years (via twitter).

Jesus H christ. I got this way wrong. I thought child separation policy would result in latino wave for Dems. I mean, that should be a deal breaker for anyone but..

This is really, really horrifying. Informed pollsters have known for a long time there would be a huge blue shift in Pennsylvania that could wipe out a seeming ~15 lead for Trump as later votes come in. For the RNC to be pulling this crap is just unconscionable.

More to come

The whole “Red Mirage” concept seems to have been just fantasy.

But - it looks pretty clear to me that Trump will be re-elected.

The Georgia count that is lacking is Atlanta and absentee. Those skew Democratic.

Pennsylvania has 26% left to count.

I thought that, according to J2's (not so) secret info, all social media pertaining to Trump was to go dark...

I think this is the big point: Latinos did not go Biden.

I'm not at all surprised. The Latinx community is heavily Catholic, which is, IMO, a group that tends toward authoritarianism and is heavily anti-abortion.

Of course they vote GOP.

Very worrying, it looks like the Orange Menace is, by hook or by crook, swaying it':

Pennsylvania has 2 million mail votes to be counted, which expect to put Biden 300k above trump. That is why Trump is crying already for supreme court. Still not enough for Biden to win, he needs Georgia, Michigan or Wisconsin.

I think Trump will win, because Joe is too weak an opponent. But I have no secret sources to help me!

Sure, Trump has used every trick in the book to get the votes (thinking back to using tear gas to disperse crowds and church goers in order to get his bible photo op), but Joe's message was not much more than Trump is a tosser (which IMO he is). Could the democrats have had a better candidate? Not sure. A stronger, louder Pelosy type? Chuck Schumer?

Let´s focus on vote counting, it still looks like trump can only win at court.

Even foxnews hasn´t sidelined with Trump yet.

This could go on for a while, if the final result is very close, there will be requests on both sides for vote re-counts, which is going to take time

Short answer: they could have swung a stick in an empty lot and hit someone more electable than Old Joe.

Watching these two elderly gentleman duke it out for the fate of the country is a little sickening.  I have the constant compulsion to want to wipe their chins and pull up their blankets for them.

The Democratic party is ripe with dynamic young liberals jumping at the chance to take down Trump, and who could have done it too, IMO.

Yes, that and the fact that the Georgia uncounted votes are in Atlanta and absentee votes. Those are not R strongholds.

But, as we see, Trump went ahead and claimed victory and will try to keep votes from being counted. "The counting should stop," he said (paraphrasing).

Who specifically?

I don't have anyone specific in mind.  It's a big country.  Your question is a little like asking me who I think the best singer is in America.  Do the best become the most famous?  No, the best connected become the most famous.  I know there are better singers than Katy Perry, but I don't necessarily know all their names.

328 million people, piles of liberal politicians, Biden isn't rocking our worlds so hard that it's difficult to imagine someone else doing at least as well, and being 20 years younger, to boot.  People act like the ones on offer are the only ones who auditioned, or were necessarily the cream of the crop of those who applied.  The music industry doesn't work that way, and neither does politics.  Sorry for the clumsy analogies, I've only had one cup of coffee.

Yeah, seem there is potential there. If Biden wins Georgia, he does not need Pennsylvania, just nevada + wisconsin or Michigan.

Perhaps this is the simple way out: Biden wins without Pennsylvania, so Trump claims are useless.
