Tax returns and deadlines

3 posts in this topic

So the deadline for filing personal returns was 31 May.  Its my understanding that this is extended until the end of December if using a Steurberater (which I will do).

I also understand that  if one is in a situtation where one is not obligated to file a return, then one actually has 4 years in which to lodge the return and claim back any refund due.

Is this correct?  Any pointers to an easy to understand summary of how it works?

What do you mean by "it"? The tax declaration? Then no, there is no "easy to understand summary" ;) – you could start reading the TT wiki and the ELSTER wiki.
