Strictly Stand Up English comedy in Berlin 18.Apr.2018

1 post in this topic

Quatsch Comedy Club has put together another stellar lineup with the very best international comedians for their next show on April 18. From their website:

Dana Alexander (Canada)
One of Canada’s most hilarious comedians returns to Berlin. After bringing the house down in 2015, we’re thrilled to have this highly experienced club and television comedian back on the show. Her comedic style is both refreshing and irreverent, drawing material from her diverse lifestyle, her gay friends and her crazy Jamaican family. After many successful years in the UK and on the European circuit her act is more international than ever. Dana’s comedy is “warmly funny with an impishly sarcastic sense of humour.” (Chortle)

Jeroen Leenders (Belgium)
Expect Belgian madness mixed with surreal observations. A multi-award winning comedian who takes you on a journey you won’t forget. Being described by many as “Belgium’s funniest comedian”, he debuted in English in 2013 and performed at The Edinburgh Festival last year. “A true master of magnifying the absurd.” (Mediawatchers), “★★★★★” – Het Nieuwsblad

Ian Stone (UK)
Ranked amongst the top ten stand-up comedians in Britain by The Independent, Ian Stone is one of the most talented acts on the comedy scene today. Edgy and provocative, with an easy-going manner and self-depreciating style, Ian is at great ease winning over any comedy club or television audience. He has performed all over the world and was the first British stand-up to perform in Moscow. A regular on British television (“Mock the week” etc.) and Radio (Radio 5) Ian is a true master of topical comedy and off-the-cuff banter. And most importantly he is just “seriously funny” (The Guardian).

Kinan Al (Syria)
Originally from Syria, Kinan has established himself quickly as a fixture on the Berlin comedy scene. He wins over audiences with his unusual personal stories and his very own views on life in Germany. A comedy nerd from Syria in Berlin – now if that’s not a unique perspective, what is?

The Quatsch Comedy Club is a great, intimate comedy venue, with just 300 seats, in the basement of the Friedrichstadtpalast on Friedrichstraße 107.

Tickets start at €19 plus service charges, or free of service charges at the box office on the evening of the show (subject to availability).

If you're looking for something different to do on a Wednesday evening, go out and see the show. It's always a lot of fun. There are free baby margaritas in the lobby before the show and happy hour afterwards, when you'll have the chance to talk to the comics.
