Whats everyone investing in now?

Inflation at record high, ECB still money printing.

Has anyone invested in crypto?

(Mostly) US energy companies (fossil and renewables, midstream), floating rate bonds, BDCs which profit from raising rates.

A bit of a punt, but I've just bought some more Wise shares (former transferwise) which have absolutely tanked over the last 6 months (not helped by having their centre of operations in the Baltics). They are profitable and growing. Apart from the obvious risk of being fairly close to Russia, it seems undervalued (at least, unless/until Atlantic Money gains market share).

Apart from that, I'm looking to invest in a heat pump and PV for my house!

I have sort of given up with Cash and Stock (mainly due to the Central Banks being unable to fight inflation)

I Invested in Stable Coins (crypto coins pegged to the dollar) on the crypto exchange and put them in a saving account with 10% to 20% APR.

I've just spent the last 10 minutes or so on google trying to figure out what that is!

The return sounds great in the current market, but I'm too cautious to invest in things I struggle to to understand. Good luck though.

have been trying to buy QYLD, but very difficult in UK/EU

Not at all. You can buy it e.g. via lynxbroker.de. You'll probably also find an equivalent trading at European exchanges at justetf.com.

A lot of the crypto world i don´t get, but with inflation at almost 8% and interest rates at 0% i sort of had to take the plunge.

Some coins (axis infinity) offer as much as a 120% APR.

I just received my yearly bonus and invested almost all of it in our SP500 + FTSE world ETFs. I’m a very boring investor.

It’s a bit fantastic to see that the portfolio barely moved.

My biggest investment in my portfolio (apart from my flat) js the All World Etf.

I am tending to diversify further by at least keeping 5% of my portfolio in crypto, mainly stable coins with some Ethereum and Axis Infinity.

Who knows if it is good or a bad decision but with inflation at Record levels and the Central Banks unable to stop it, I will probably diversify further into crypto.

Want to beat inflation? Buy bricks. They hold their value, are harder to steal than crypto, and if anything else fails, you can build a house with them.

Honestly, this crypto + inflation bullshit is one of the worst arguments i've seen.

😂 corporate stocks are real, productive assets in any case, just like real estate etc, so medium-long term they work just fine as inflation edge.

I already own my flat with mortgage. Not interested in becomming a landlord.

The crypto market is worth 1.8tn, more than the US subprime mortgage market.

I am not saying crypto is the way to go but the crypto market does follow comments from the central banks and inflation data.

Look at stocks and look at Bitcoin.

it is possible that Bitcoin could reach 1million dollars.

Bitcoin is finite (only a certain amount of Btc in circulation) while cash is not as central banks can just print.

Everything is possible. Corporate stock and real estate are productive, finite assets, though, while crypto is not productive and also not finite, as the new cryptocurrencies popping up every other day attest. I don’t really have cash (percentually speaking).

BTW, on a one year basis BTC is down 27% against USD and my stocks.. aren’t.

I own a tiny bit of gold as well, but that’s mostly because it’s shiny and has been around for thousands of years.

No it's not. But keep dreaming.

Just to give you a perspective, a $1M bitcoin would mean half the world's money in circulation as market cap. Or from another perspective, it would equate to 25% of all market cap of all trading companies!

And be aware that Bitcoin was a lossy investment in the trailing 12 months. Can't even beat inflation.

So are many other things, yet nobody values them at $1M. My grandmother used to collect those limited edition coins from banks... nobody gave her $1M!

Wonderful!

I have PV and it's very good. During its 20yr lifetime it pays itself off, and generates a small profit.

No heatpump in our house and I regret it.

When we bought our flat, first thing we wanted was no Gas.

We have a heat pump and solar panels.
