Wohngeld Lübeck Requirements

2 posts in this topic

Hey guys,

I'm wondering if anyone knows what the basic requirements are for Wohngeld eligibility? (i.e. how long you one must have lived in Germany for, how long one must have worked for)

I've been told by a couple of friends that I might be eligible for it, but they don't seem to know much about the requirements.

Additionally, if you move cities, do you have to reapply for it?

I moved to Germany in December 2016 and moved to Lübeck in April. I have a job with Aldi, which I've had since April as well. It's part time, about 650 a month.

I'm from Australia but have a dual Italian citizenship, so I'm registered here as a EU citizen.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Brent.

For you as an EU citizen there are no special requirements.

How good is your german? This calculator will show you how much Wohngeld you can get.

Yes, of course.
