DVD hire shops in Frankfurt

16 posts in this topic

HI All,

I was wondering, if there was a rental DVD shop in Frankfurt,

where I can hire/rent DVD's?

Someone in the office laughed at me, and said this is old-fashioned?

Please help me from becoming a laughing stock.

Who on earth would laugh at a question like that???

http://www.tomin-video.de/

Or there is Video City, Sandweg 62, 60326 Frankfurt

There are also new 24 hour ones I am a member of the Bergerstr one:

www.videostore-berger253.de

There are loads of these ones popping up think they are some new chain. Whoever said video rental stores are old fashioned is behind the times himself!!!

Also meant to say Tomin do a selection of both region 1 and 2 DVDs.

The Video City on Sandweg also has a large selection of English videos (mostly old now though) and they also have things like Only Fools and Horses etc etc. It is definately worth joining if you live close.

Oh the joys of being single, eh...? :(

When I lived in Oberursel, my flat was directly above a video library and they tried opening for a while on Sundays, but were soon made to close again. It was a double-edged sword for me because if they'd opened, I'd have been able to get films out on even on boring Sundays, but Sunday was the only day of the week when I got some respite from the endless stream of wannabe-Schumis screeching onto the car park directly below my living-room window, only to screech away again a couple of minutes later with the obligatory boom-boom-boom-boom disappearing into the distance. <_<

If you are a member of Fitness Company, they have a video library that you can loan dvds and videos from and it doesn't cost anything AND they are open on Sundays!

Thank god we now have Sky that's all I can say - i love it!!!

Hi and thanks for all the info,

however I live close to FF Banhof and all the suggessted video shops are the other end for me - not really practical.

I haven't found a shop more local, so does anyone know if there is a video shop more closer to the Banhaf.

Thanks again.

Well I don't know! It's under video rental! And usually video rental shops do DVD's in this day and age!!

Ohh just thought- are you saying it is in an area you don't want to be after dark???

Hadn't thought of that possibility!
