Boris Johnson said children of poorer working mothers are more likely to 'mug you on the street corner'

Quote

The children of poorer working mothers are more likely to “mug you on the street corner”, Boris Johnson wrote in a book of his journalism, it has emerged.

The future prime minister also raged against women no longer being able to stay at home, saying they had been “socially gestapoed into the workplace”.

Labour seized on the comments as yet more evidence of Mr Johnson’s “contempt for women and working class people”.

“For him to speak about us in such a disgusting manner shows just how out of touch he is. It is clear he only ever stands up for the privileged few,” said Angela Rayner, the shadow education secretary.

The controversy comes hard-on-the-heels of criticism of the prime minister for his past attacks on Muslim women, gay men, single mothers and working-class men.

I notice that johnson is referred to as "the future prime minister" - has the election already been rigged?

Former Infowars employee confirms what logical, sane people suspected all along, says "We made it up":

Quote

A former video editor for the conspiracy theory outlet Infowars said that the site’s staff fabricated information for their boss Alex Jones in an effort to reinforce the views and prejudices of Jones’ audience.

The New York Times Magazine published a feature online today authored by Josh Owens, who recounted experiences he had working for Infowars. (He first started to share information with journalist Jon Ronson, who has known Jones for decades, in October 2016.) In the article, Owens recounts outlandish and disturbing incidents at Infowars, including Jones firing a gun in his direction “as a joke,” Jones punching employees, Jones killing animals in cruel ways on video, and Jones driving visibly drunk to film a stunt on Election Day 2016 for his broadcast audience.

Owens often traveled to produce content for Jones and recounted two experiences in which the team fabricated content for Jones’ audience. “If it fit into the Infowars narrative, it played,” Owens wrote.

John Major urges public to vote against Tory candidates in general election

Quote

Former Prime Minister Sir John Major will today sensationally call on the public to vote AGAINST the Tories in three seats at next week's election.

Sir John, who led the Conservative Party between 1990 and 1997, will back rebel candidates standing against Boris Johnson loyalists in a hammer blow for the PM.

He and ex-Labour Prime Minister Tony Blair will address a rally in London saying next week's vote is the "final chance" to affect Brexit.

Sir John said he is backing former Tory ministers David Gauke, Dominic Grieve and Anne Milton, who were booted out by Boris Johnson. The trio are standing as independents against Conservative candidates.

In a pre-recorded speech ahead of the Stop the Brexit Landslide rally - organised by Final Say campaigners - Sir John will say old "tribal loyalties" are being loosened by Brexit.

Anyone told this guy yet?  Seems the Storm. Is. Here. Now.  And has now admitted to being mad, confirming what logical, sane people have been suspecting.  He is perhaps on a ban here at the moment, which could explain his Twitter posts.

No problem. I prefer the out of sight out of mind approach but people keep bringing him up.

ETA - It's quite possible he has a bogus account here and is enjoying all of the attention.

Oh, he'll be back in full sight on TT the minute his (suspected) ban is over, blazing conspiracy theories and right wing hate out of both barrels. Hopefully only figuratively.

Of course he is.

(You can even do that without a bogus account, this stuff is public. )

Boris Johnson condemned in brutal direct attack by London Bridge victim's father: 'He’s the worst of us and he’s taking you for a ride'

Quote

The father of a man killed in the London Bridge terror attack has launched a stinging attack on Boris Johnson, accusing him of using his son’s death to “make political capital” and taking the country “for a ride”.

David Merritt, whose 25-year-old son, Jack, was one of two people killed by convicted terrorist Usman Khan, condemned the prime minister for using the attack as justification for a series of tougher criminal policies.

Posting on his social media account, Mr Merritt responded to a reference of the attack during Friday’s BBC leaders’ debate, saying: “If prisoners have engaged with rehabilitation & turned their lives around, why should they be punished for what Khan did?”

In his first direct attack on Mr Johnson, who he had previously pleaded with to stop politicising the death of his son, he said: “[Jeremy] Corbyn spoke the truth last night. Johnson lied & used our son’s death to make political capital.

He added: “Wake up Britain: this man is a fraud. He’s the worst of us, & he’s taking you for a ride. You may think the options open to you in this election are not entirely to your liking. Me neither, but I’ll be voting least worst option: anti-Tory.”
