Germans infertile?

2.8 per woman isn't low, especially when you take the demographic momentum from previous decades' higher fertility rates into account (it was around 7 per woman as recently as the early 1980s).

Yes, Saudi is exception due to Sharia law in place there. But still, this is the rate to keep the population more or less stable, not growing.

Saudi's population has doubled since 1990. Not my idea of stable, and, bear in mind, that a growing population means a lot more people that have to be bought off so they don't make an issue of the huge royal family's autocratic rule- it doesn't mean more people producing more goods and services.

The population in Saudi can't stabilize until fertility rates fall way under replacement for over a generation.

Don't they have immigration? In UAE 70% of population are Indians. I suspect there are plenty of them in Saudi as well.

Nota bene, UAE is perceived as a Muslim majority country, yet it is in fact Muslim minority who however kept Islamic culture as mainstream.

P.S. High fertility of Muslims in Germany is a myth. Second generation Muslims have the same number of children as Germans.

I don't know.

Apparently quite a number of muslim men in Germany have more than one wife with whom they have several children. The first wife is official in accordance with German rules, the second/third etc. wife they marry in the mosqe through an imam as Sharia law allows polygamy. The second/third etc. wife and children are supported by the state (Harz IV) as unmarried mothers. Often the wives don't know about each other. The "unmarried" mothers are supported by the state because they pretend they don't know who the father is, which in itself is an offence as the mother is bound by law to state who the father is and it is also a farce because muslim girls who get pregnant out of wedlock is a no go in muslim societies, which everyone knows including the Sozial and Jugendamt.

https://www.welt.de/politik/deutschland/article109544417/Polygamie-in-der-Migranten-Parallelgesellschaft.html

I would presume this also goes on in other European countries with muslim parallel societies.

Yes, Saudi has had a lot of labor migration, but the estimates are 20-30% of the overall Population. If anything, that might mean the Saudi citizen fertility rates are slightly higher since net immigration has probably been low or negative in the past few years.

One of the significant aspects of what bramble posted about Muslim polygamy in Europe is that in most parts of the Arab world, a man has to get the approval of the prospective bride's father in order to marry. The ability to Support their daughters financially is of the utmost importance to these fathers, and there's no Northern European-style welfare system or anything similar in the majority of the Arab world. It's a different calculus when Hartz IV and Kindergeld are available.

Then the quality needs to be protected. From the quantity. :)

Is this Nordicism or Ayranism?

Unbelievable, how a topic about German fertility has morphed into another political discussion.

Any bets the mods will close it in the next few hours? It's become their favourite hobby now. :D

Sorry that klubbnika is appearing in your quote Erdmann but closed topics seem to have more to do with Good Bob than anything else.

I believe there are no active mods on this site anymore.

Take a look at "What made you laugh" thread. My retorts have been deleted for the second time within an hour, while retorts from some preferred members are allowed to stay.

It's active I'd say. Goodbob is just a distraction. :D

I beg to differ, there are extreme amounts of cleanup currently going on.

Most of the cleanup is automatic. There is actually not a person doing it. One of the original programmers Malcolm Sudbury said as much in one of his last posts.

Germany as a country kills sexdrive.

You can't even relax on Saturday morning and get it on because you have to get out of bed ASAP to run your errands at the same time as 80 other million people who need to get shit done by 8 p.m. because everything is closed on Sunday. The long lines and lousy service put everyone in horrible mood which further kills libido and require heavy drinking (which doesn't necessarily help in the sack).

By the time Sunday morning runs along you either need to host your family, clean, or go to Church. Then it's Monday again, your train is late and you want to kill yourself.

That's true for almost every country. That's a typical family life what you've described. And again, sex for pleasure is not the issue here. It's the core foundation of building a family that's being affected here.

Definitely not true for Ireland. And you won't get a family life without sexdrive, so family life doesn't equate.

Just a stupid question on the side why does every reply I make contain the text and quotes of my previous replies. Tedious stuff.

I say bullshit. Just because you can't plan your purchases doesn't mean Germans suffer, too. I am writing this as a person who misses Sunday shopping as well, but I have also noticed that people in Germany are able to plan what they need in well advance. So, this is not true.

So you are saying you have so much shopping to do on Saturdays that you can't get it done between noon and 8 pm?  I find that at least where I live, there are certain old people who get up before 7 to do grocery shopping as soon as the stores open and you are actually better off, if you find yourself awake at that hour anyway, to go a bit later because is it actually less busy.
