This Coronavirus shit is really cramping everyone's style, although I see the need for social distancing.

I see the need for it too, but lots of people here don't - outside in the street they are not doing distancing at all.

I noticed my neighbors were standing well apart as they were talking today.  But lots of my friends and relatives in the US are complaining about the rules and saying it's an overreaction.  I think people have forgotten about how dangerous communicable diseases can be.  And some folks are just plain inconsiderate.

I feel a bit out of place myself sometimes, even though I don't do church and clearly say so. I just don't get some of the American hangups (nudity, race, service entitlement), I can't identify poison ivy/oak/sumac right away, the hypocritical flipflop of super morals (during the day) and party craziness (after sundown) is weird to me.

But we always could eat healthy in the US. Mr Metall was dieting (very successfully), and I was impressed how any diner/fast food place/hot dog stand readily exchanged ingredients, such as pretty decent salads for fries etc.

Health insurance and street security in Germany are a great thing. If this is Socialism (aka Republican rhetoric), I'm all for it. :)

As for right wing populist politicians, I'm afraid Germany/Europe is growing a nice crop of those as we speak...

I never got the German "race" hangup myself. Worse than America IMO.

Do I like living in Germany?

Considering the fact that it's been 12 since I've had had to agonize over my $190,000 total debt in the US (most of which can't be discharged through bankruptcy because they are student loans), and has been even longer since I've been turned down for a job for my teenage escapades that had me often cooling my heels in the county jail, I'd have to say living in Germany is quite peachy.

Second chances feel great! :D

The spelling mistakes on T-shirts and instructions etc- yep!😂 Sometimes they make me laugh. Shame the Chinese can’t spell!😀

By the way, I need an English teacher! Are you available?

How did you discharge the debt then, if I may ask?  Do they not follow you over to Germany and when you file your taxes?  Just interested....

Maybe the creditors don´t even know he´s in Germany. It´s difficult enough to trace someone within the US I was told by my BIL who was in the business of doing this.
