PremiumSIM Mobile Contract

6 posts in this topic

Hi,

I arrived in Germany last month and took out a Vodafone prepay sim with a CallYa tarrif - I pay 10 euros for 200mins/sms and 850mb of data. I have 11 days left to renewal and about 150mb left even though I've been using the phone sparingly.

I saw an advert yesterday for "PremiumSim" one month contract which seems much better value for 10 euro (flat rate sms/minutes and 3gb of data). I'm planning to stay in Germany for the next 20 months or so, so a long-term solution would be better. The only thing I am worried about is cancellation, I see online that it must be done in writing but I can't work out their address and with my lack of German it's slightly worrying. I'm sure when I come to leave my boss will help me cancel the contract but I just wondered if it's likely to be easy?

Am I missing anything the deal seems very good? After a bit of a google search it looks like PremiumSim are a MVNO using Vodafone's network so I likely won't notice much a difference.

Thanks for any help

You should be able to cancel from within their online self-service. Or using E-Mail or snail mail. Often (Einwurf)-Einschreiben (registered mail) is recommended but since you can cancel any month I don't see much risk simply using their online service for that. Network seems to be O2, not Vodafone.

Thanks I spoke to my Supervisor here and they told me they would assist me in cancellation when I am due to leave Germany. I also found the contact details (email/address) now so I am less worried. I think for 10 euro's per month it is worth trying! Using a lot of internet to call back home whilst out and 1gb isn't really enough...

HI I had considered PremiumSIM, and applied including Number carry over. As I needed to pay my current provider, I had to check with PremiumSIM and had the misfortune to deal with their service. I waited for 29 min on the phone till somebody picked up the phone, to then been treated rudly and being hanged up on my face!

I was not yet their client and they have treated me like this, imagine if you are a customer already! normally they are friendly and helpful when come to customer acquisition.

Their misbehaviour made me decide to stay with my current provider and search another alternative!

FYI my current provider is also using O2 network and in the last months I had several issues and had to call them. As the network is O2 also with PremiumSIM there would be plenty of occasion to call them...and wait on the line for 29 min!

Oh dear! I hope you find a contract provider you are happy with!

I'm not too worried about phone number as mostof my calls are done through Skype etc just data needed - so I have no problem moving provider and not bringing number. If they are bad I will just cancel within the initial 14 days (or with 30 days notice at any time after) and find someone else. I have friends on O2 here in Karlsruhe, with no issues, hopefully I don't have too many.

Thank you for your help though, I will make sure I keep their ability to give good service in my mind.
