The Bavarian Interior Minister just declared the attacker was an 17-year-old from Afghanistan. Very sad news.

Munich news, seriously? Why not Hamburg news?

Würzburg is in Franconia, not in Bavaria.

P.S. Just because you neg me, Würzburg will not move.

Unaccompanied Refugee. Great. And he wanted Allan's Snackbar.

They are trying to link this with terrorism, because if he would be linked to IS, then it's just IS that's the danger. If he is a lone ranger, then it's the religion.

PC 2016.

Yet another case of his new land failing to integrate him and treating him like a 2nd class citizen ;)

We should have done more for him ;)

We only need to look in the mirror to see what caused this ;)

We don't know the full facts yet such as did he have PTSD, was he on drugs, was he just a nutter that the Turks waved through because they spotted it. However, Merkel and the leading Parties need to put a stop on the immigration. They need to stop giving Turkey cash to act as a Border control. Erdogen is seeing the EU as a cash cow and is really building a Dictatorship. Just look at his response to the attempted coup, arrests of the Judiciary, the Police as well as the Armed Forces plus his wish to introduce the death penalty and letting people carry weapons.

All this means that there will be traumatised refugees as well as the nutters wanting to get here and Erdogen won't stop them.

Europe needs to take the money back, build up it's own border security and use the money going to Turkey to build up a naval prescence in the Aegean.

As for this Afghan, he isn't the only one here, there will be a lot of ill disciplined, semi ferel youngsters coming over as well as those claiming to be under 18 with no form of identification. German Police need to get tough and the politicians need to give them the mandate to do so.

The damage is done. Every Tom, Dick and Harry is now in Europe. The decision to open Europe's borders to mass migration was a decision which will have terrifying consequences for years to come.

Welcome to multi-kulti - we'll just have to get used to it.  At some stage it won't make the newspapers any more - just concentrate on virtual games...

No point - the courts will let them go again.

First, I have no mercy with this guy.

However, I always wonder why the German police and their special forces have no sub-lethal weapons like a Taser?

Must be religious reasons.

I just heard on the radio that the Greens are absolutely furious that the police shot him.

No mention of the victims just why did the police shoot him and was it necessary.

Sadly I know you're right. One of the most saddest things that happened in London post 7/7 but also one of the most positive was when the UK Police (those that don't carry guns) shot the Brazilian Manezesin Stockwell Station. It was sad that the police got the wrong man and there has been an inquiry into it but the positive was that some of the worst preachers of hate and those inciting others decided to leave the country. The Police got tough and had a shoot to kill policy which they didn't advertise. Since then there have been plots with the killing of Private Rigby in Woolwich been the only succesful one.

The message was simple, the UK is not a pushover and that's what Germany needs to send out.

Does anybody still believe that mass migration was a great idea?

Merkel and Steinmeier will down vote you to hell. With help from newbie migrants, liberal millennials and TT /TheLocal IT team of course.

One big difference, can you imagine in the UK people standing at Victoria Station cheering on the mass migration ?

You are SO right! what we are now experiencing is just the beginning of what will soon be regular waves of attacks using creative methods as in Nice to maximize the body count while flying under the radar by blending in with the migrants.  The perfect camouflage.

The danger resides among us because of the reckless decision to throw open the borders to unlimited numbers of migrants some of whom want to kill us.

Technology and survellience  are not able to effectively expose those with bad intentions  now or in the future. Some will become disaffected and radicalized as they tire of a dismal life of dead-ends, no hope, jobs or opportunities in the Flüchtlingheim. How ironic that many of these cubicle containers have been placed near the cemetary on the edge of town. Out of sight out of mind.

"People" standing at Munich Hauptbahnhof are very few leftist Gutmensch / open border activist type. Something which Liberal rags love to highlight in order to set a precedent for the rest of the Europe (and West in general) to follow.

Just open the comment section of Die Welt, die Zeit, FAZ, you will know the polar opposite is true, as far as public opinion is concerned.

Yes they did last year, but now, post NYE, rise in terror attacks in Europe, this Axe attack, attacks on girls on public transport and in swimming pools. I'm sure I've missed something.
