Jesus.

I'll choose my words carefully.

Forgiveness is a virtue. It is a positive virtue to have, and to hold. In real life.

However, we're not dealing with real life. We're dealing with keyboard warriors who have no real life.

Their life is TT. Where virtue is a non-existent word.

And that's the sadest part. For them.

I have no connection to the person banned/re-banned but I have been following the story.

The way it was handled doesn't paint TT in any glory. If anything, it has shone a negative light.

As I said above, forgiveness is a virtue, and some people need to look in the fucking mirror.

Just saying like.

I wanted to ask if Toytown could list the moderators and how to contact them, the way other forums do.

Good luck with that, I made quite a concerted effort to find out once upon a time, and completely failed to get a good answer.

It seems that at some level "the powers that be" don't want to let us know.

If you do find out it would be great to get the wiki updated, I know that my last edit is out of date but I've no desire to try to chase down a more up to date list.

@Metall and @pappnase

I find it incredible that TT does not list its admin/mod team.

Who do people reach out to if they have a problem on TT?

On the rock band forum I moderate on, just the act of signing up generates an automatic welcome message in the new member's PM box.

It also lists the admin/mod team to reach out to if they experience a problem.

To us (rock band forum) it's just common courtesy, support, and safeguarding our members.

I suggest those interested contact The Local by phone or email and ask.

Yeah phone or email is probably the way, there is also a 'TheLocal' account that seems to respond, and a few 'xxx at the local' accounts that post occasionally they have also been helpful in the past.

In general though you should assume it's the wild-west out there and just block the offensive posts as best you can.

I really wish it were different, but they pay the bills so they call the shots.

Or...and I'm just spitballing here...maybe the folks you claim have no lives have more money and hence more free time.

Anyhoo, there is also much to be said regarding the fact that nearly every social media outlet has a ban-dodger death penalty.

Oh, and forced forgiveness (or insinuating that forgiveness makes the forgiver a better person) diminishes harms and wrongs, which inhibits the safety of the wronged party. Repeating wrong behavior and then acting as if it's no longer the perpetrator's fault because xyz issue is (temporarily) resolved is a sign that future harm can be predicted. Nip that shit in the bud, bubba.
