I went along for the first time last night and really enjoyed it ... we had nice weather , nice company and good food , and now that Caroline who runs it has removed the age limit even old f*rts can come along ... yes Reggie , even you

Yes it was my first time last night too (god that sounds a bit dodgy doesn't it!!) ...at the Frankfurt Dining Club.

 

I really enjoyed myself and it was lovely to meet everyone! My back is still killing me, but hopefully when I see y'all again, I'll be top fit and raring to go...don't want anyone calling me an old fart, even if I feel like it today! :P

I had a good night too and it was great meeting some fellow britboarders in the flesh ! (and what lovely people they are too!)- I think there were 20 people there in total which is a pretty decent turn out considering a lot of people are away on holiday.

 

The next dinner will be in around 3 weeks time so if any one else is interested in joining us please drop me an email or PM and I will send you further details.

Some of you may have seen my posting from last Thursday re. bloody Telekom. I am afraid I still can neither send nor receive emails and so I will not be able to organise a dinner for this Friday as I had originally hoped. I do have another personal email address but do not have the time to plug 150 addresses into the address book (They are all saved in my outlook at work!) in order to send out the invites. DT still cannot confirm when we will receive our new passwords and it is causing me no end of problems.

 

I promise that as soon as it is up and running again I will get the next event organised. Please can you spread the word to other FDC members who may not be on TT!

You can use the import/export function of Outlook to export your entire address list to a CSV file, and then, if you have a gmx.net or yahoo email address, you can log on and import the .csv file into your GMX or Yahoo address book.

 

and as for the next dinner, may I suggest the M Steakhouse on Feuerbach str (off Bockenheimer Landstraße), or Biancalani Cucina in Sachsenhausen.

Telekom have sent us the new passwords and so my email is up and running again ! I will definately now arrange a dinner for next Friday (Thanks for the tips Neil373 - M Steakhouse is extremely good but I have to admit a bit more expensive than our standard locations !). I have also heard that the Biancalani Cucina is good so I was planning anyway on giving that a try soon.

 

Sorry generally for the lack of events recently - I resigned at work around 2 weeks ago so things have been far from normal !
