Oh we love them!

Just brilliant and awesomely talented.

And really nice people, too.

Oh, that's always nice to hear!

Not long ago, bergbeat.de (their label) messed up an order a bit. - Not only that I got the right CD without having to send the other one back, nooo - I've also got another one plus a few stickers for free.

We were at their (free!) concert on Tollwood a few years ago. Sensational!

Generation X will not go quietly.
(And we will not "behave"!! :D )

" Most of us are not, as our parents did, dressing our age. We see those articles — the ones that say we’re supposed to stop wearing strappy sandals and high-tops, combat boots and miniskirts, or skin-tight jeans with holes — and we consider them for a second until we say “fuck that.” We’ve always worn whatever we wanted and we don’t particularly give a crap if you don’t like it. We grew up in the ’80s, the age of flash and color, punk, metal, and hip-hop. We learned to live loud and we aren’t giving it up.
[...]
And as we get older and wrinklier and our hair whitens and we’re stooped over barely shuffling along, we might have to switch to orthopedic shoes from our Chucks (if we haven't already), but we’ll still have Guns N’ Roses blasting into our hearing aids, dammit. You can just go ahead and play Prince at all our funerals."

Cancel culture is when a person accustomed to speaking over others gets talked back to.

That's it. That's the whole phenomenon.

You reap what you sow. If you don't like what's going on in your life, your career, or even some tiny internet forum, think about how you got yourself here.

Actually life sometimes just shits on good people for no good reason.

I found out recently just how little control we actually have over our own lives.

A professor gave a balloon to every student, who had to inflate it, write their name on it and throw it in the hallway. The professor then mixed all the balloons up. The students were given 5 minutes to find their own balloon. Despite a hectic search, no one found their balloon.

At that point the professor told the students to take the first balloon that they found and hand it to the person whose name was written on it. Within 5 minutes everyone had their own balloon. The professor said to the students,

“These balloons are like happiness. We will never find it if everyone is looking for their own. But if we care about other people's happiness, we'll find ours too."

Here’s to caring about everyone’s happiness in 2022 and beyond!
