Kickball in Berlin

1 post in this topic

Kickball is not a serious sport (but it certainly can be). It's more about having a fun time and making a fool of yourself trying to catch that big red rubber ball when it drops from the sky! To learn more about this game, follow the link: https://www.digipen.edu/fileadmin/website_data/gallery/game_websites/kickball/htm/rules.htm.

The game is similar to baseball, but the pitcher rolls a big red ball, and you kick it instead of batting it. It is quite popular in the United States. There are adult kickball leagues in many American cities, and any adult who grew up in the 70's or 80's surely has fond childhood memories of this game. (Thanks to Big Steve from Munich Kickball for the stolen description.)

Lets put together a dedicated kickball team in Berlin and invite adult kickball teams from Munich, Amsterdam and Vienna to Germany's capital to bring it on!

We play rain-or-shine, so no need to ask if it's on. I'll be there with a couple cold brews so come on down and bring some friends!

And please be on time. Everyone gets 5 minutes, but beyond that it's just plain bad manners.

Description on how to find us: We meet at the South-West entrance to Tempelhofer Park. It is the closest entrance to the S/U Bahnhofs. Right when you walk into the park you will see a small red circular building. We meet right next to it, and we will be holding a red kickball. We will wait for 5 minutes before moving to a spot to play.
