I'm pretty sure the Tate was there first.

“near constant surveillance" since opening the terrace,

Pretty sure the terrace wasn’t or at least not open in its current form.

I get that but when you choose to live in the city, being overlooked is always a possibility. Can be an older building conversion or a new building going up.

We weren't overlooked when we moved into our apartment. Now we are. Maybe we should sue somebody. :)

I understand both sides of the argument, but, if the Tate isn't breaking any laws and the visitors aren't breaking any laws, then the expensive apartment owners have the obligation to sort out their own problems. That being said, I do not know if there are any UK prohibitions against photographing people through residential windows (in my home state of Georgia there is such a law) and, if such a law exists, the Tate should merely have to install a sign that says, "Photographing into private residences is prohibited by law. Such and such a fine and potential term of imprisonment applies" and they have met their burden of care.

FF, I said I kind of understand not that it is something to sue over. It does change their quality of life is what I’m saying. Some may even prefer to be watched but it still changed.

I would understand less if they moved in knowing that the terrace would be used in such a manner and then complained about it.

Gotcha.

So what about our situation? We didn't know when we moved in. We just get to live with it.

It's as if people with more money have more rights.

Ahh, but @Cammiede you raise a new point: what if their selling realtor knew about the terrace? Do they have a cause for action there?

In a perfect world they wouldn’t. In our world they do.

You chose not to sue, though and it is unclear if they will win or lose.

Or just get curtains/window treatments like we did. B)

If you thought (rightly) that Zac Goldsmith was a twat, his brother is after his crown.  He tweeted;

I remember back in the early 90s before the most recent wave of immigration, the Victoria line was nearly always empty during rush hour.

Conversely, in Tokyo where there are next to no immigrants, during the rush hour you have the carriage to yourself.

Said by a person who has never been to Japan and tried to get into a train at almost any time during the day.

Of course Ben just happens to find a photo with an Asian Guy, a Chinese guy and a southern Mediterranean looking lady in the forfront. Just coincidence really.

Don't judge me on what I do, judge me on my empty rhetoric.  TWAT.

Another superb film from Sir David Attenborough - the Antarctic is a precious place - we must do all we can to protect the region and its unique wildlife #Dynasties

Karen Watson who is a Tommy Robinson supporter, unaware that she is an immigrant.

Her belief is English people are never foreigners and all immigrants are in fact brown.

Former Southampton Student Union president Emily Dawes for wanting to paint over a mural dedicated to soldiers dating from WW1. Her reason being is that it only shows white men.

Do they not teach analytical thinking at Uni anymore? Is she so thick that she doesn't realise she needs to look at it in the context of the time it was painted? Just how many black people went to a British University in 1916? She'll probably go far in her chosen career just so long as it's something that doesn't actually need intelligence, probably be a future cabinet member, but for now she's my Twat of the Day.

Ironic, smug wanker looking pleased with himself after his government created the need for foodbanks in the UK.

I think it's appalling that collective transport in the UK has been useless for decades at expanding capacity in spite of ever increasing number of PAYING passengers. Whether those extra PAYING passengers are the result of immigration or the indigenous population having sex with each other is rather irrelevant.
