Feels weird that we are reading The Tin Drum for our next book club meetup.

I'm sad that he's passed away; he was scheduled to participate in the Lesen ohne Atomstrom event here in Hamburg next week. (But I'm kind of relieved that I'm not the only one reading Die Blechtrommel just as this happened. Quite a fat book for a book club, isn't it?)

Bugger. This means no murdered soap stars also?

I always hit the bottle when one pops em on Eastenders. Is Nick Cotton still alive?

RIP Keith Harris, succumbed to cancer.

Whatever happened to that old fashioned brand of entertainer like him, Les Dawson, Brucie even, Wogan? Seems they have broken the mould at the Beeb and it will never come round again. All those blokes started out in music halls and mens clubs, which have all disappeared.

No, no, no! Notable folk belong in the notable folk thread! They have to be hashed together! It's a mass grave!
