I was a great fan of The Seekers. They provided a welcome relief from the musical loudness of that era . I have in my musical repetiore the excellent song

The Carnival is over.

She sings this song to perfection and I will play it to myself soon.

It was difficult being in puberty and watching her on the telly. Plus Heidi on the BBC's " wie bitte?" learn German programme on a Sunday morning!

I lost my innocence by myself... but I can't remember which one of them was " responsible "!😂

Classically trained with a cristalline voice. And so classy and modest.

I am so glad she gets a well deserved mention here. Growing up with the sounds of the Seekers, it was so sad to hear she has gone.  However, her beautiful voice will live on.

I was listening to the Seekers songs over the weekend and one song that I don't remember as a kid but was surprisingly patriotic was, I am You are We are Australian.   The State of Victoria is going to give her a State funeral to “honor the life and contribution of a true icon of Australian music.

Hilton Seymour Beckford died recently.

Nobody left any online condolences for him so he was probably not well known.

I just thought it was time to add an obscure obituary as per the thread title.
