Our office is almost next door to a brothel, which I do not frequent. The occasional shooting- pimps carrying out revenge. This part of Harburg is famous as a Brennpunkt.

I don't know who goes in there. My dog Mandy kinda likes doing her Kaká around there.😂

If women want to sell their bodies, ok by me if it's their choice but not if forced. Simply that.

I don't wish to judge. I don't know their stories. And neither those of their punters.

I spent quite some time working on the Prinz Hamlet and my Address was Landungsbrücke 5, this was the eighties and I was young with the common sense god gives a bag of hammers. I had a bit of fun smuggling spirits an cigarettes and jeans selling to the few leftover members of the „Nutella Bande“ So I tend to regard prostitution, As you say, as long as there is no force, as just another job.

Look at it from another way. I take it you have your man (or woman), a kind and loving partner, one who is good to the kids, a great lay in the sack, brings the pennies home and above all... Puts the toilet seat down. But what about the others, you know, the old and ugly, the rejects, the men no woman wants. Or the other, others, the men who have been so stung and burned and hurt by the woman they would have laid their lives down for and now will not let any woman closer to their hearts than the width of a 50 Euro note. What simpering god of higher priss gives people the right to condemn these men to a life of celibacy?

So, your wife does not enjoy eathing shit and piss. Poor guy.  Get a young imported girl.  No probs.

My mum quit smoking at some stage. One of my brothers used to drive to Calais to bring back loads of ciggies. My mum used to keep them at her house and the punters/ friends of my brother would pay my mum et al. And one day Customs and Excise knocked on the door.

Long story short- " why so many ciggies in your place ?

My mum: " I am a heavy smoker."

The Customs geezers: " smoke some then. "

So she did!😂

And she got away with it??

One of my Kollegen at the Time went on land with a Sea Sack full of cigarettes. He tried to be invisible as possible and had taken the precautions of weighting the bag so that if he were to be caught he would heave the bag into the Elbe where it would sink... He had just left the ship, heading to the Reeperbahn when the black gang (customs) ordered him to stop, he then put his cunning plan to get rid of the evidence into play and threw the bag into the Elbe where it was sure to sink. Only it was winter and the Elbe was frozen, the bag Landed on an ice floe and was picked up by the customs boat.

a very expensive night on the Teepetbahn indeedy.
