I am actually better when drunk . There are several renditions of me singing Sinatra after a 2 hour beer bike trip ;)

Happy that this Royal Navy war veteran managed to attend the 70th D - Day commemoration in France before he died. What a character.

I might try that myself (when the snow comes back) - great fun, and non-destructive. ;)

I ended my week at work by tidying up some vexing problems, and verified that my clever solution for one in particular was dead on.

I've just been having so much damned fun in my new job...it's been a long time coming and it feels sooooo good. So indeed, I was grinning ear to ear as I left the office to head into the weekend

Just watched a documentary on the BBC called "This World" where the presenter visited the Masai people in the Rift Valley.

He was invited to help them patch up a dwelling using a mixture of mud and cow dung.

After he finished his renovations and was talking to one of the local women, her mobile phone rang!

First World colliding with the Third World.

There is a woodpecker hammering on the metal lid of a nearby street lamp. Hes been doing this for some days & its pretty loud.

(When you hear a woodpecker hammering its not for food (thats to be found in soft wood) but to attract a mate).
