Not to be too officious but that is not an official Paddington. He has to have a label saying "Please look after this bear. Thank you" on his coat. Can you believe this? I bought the then girlfriend one 18 years ago and know what she did being German? She SNIPPED off the label! of all the nerve.

I have a 50-year-old photo of @sarabyrd dressed as Paddington, complete with note but lacking the hat.  It still makes me smile.

I was given a freebie bottle of beer at the supermarket checkout this morning :)

 

When I got home I discovered that it's alcohol-free :(

On the third Tuesday of September, Prinsjesdag, the Dutch government presents the budget and important decisions for the coming year. They have now appointed a designated survivor in case somebody wants to wipe out all ministers and secretaries of state who are present on that day. Boy oh boy, somebody definitely watched too much Netflix.
