i am writing my resignation letter, having headache writing in german language.

please correct for me if it is wrong.. ,the meaning of it is so hard to understand. May i also know the 2 dates are for what? how to write the 2 dates? for example, if i am resigning today 2nd april, under company regulation, the resignation after submitted, still have to work for the company for 2 weeks before one can leave the company for good. so, can you help me fill it up the date that required to be fill into the both date spaces?

"ich möchte hiermit meinen mit ihnen geschlossenen Arbeitsvertrag vom 17.04.2014 fristlos kündigen. Ich stehe ihnen damit mit sofortiger Wirkung, ab dem 16.04.2014 nicht mehr zur Verfügung.

Ich bitte Sie mir ein entsprechendes Arbeitszeugnis für die geleistete Arbeit auszustellen und meine Arbeitsunterlagen, zuzusenden."

can you expert out there also translate this to germany for me? thanks.

" period of notice of resignation (Kündigungsfristen) is actually 2 weeks, but due to the production line is currently suffer from insufficiency of machine operator (due to Rupert is undergoing operation), i am willing to prolong my stay of one week in Natsu until a suitable operator is found. I am regret not able to help much more than that, that's mean 24th of April will be my last day working in your company, hopefully by then you will have found a suitable candidate for replacing my post. However if you have found a suitable candidate much early than that, then just inform me, i will leave as stated in regulation, 2 weeks from the date of submission of my resignation letter. "

thank you very much you guys.

ps: pls translate as close to my meaning as possible.

thanks again.

truly

This would rather translate as:

"Hiermit kündige ich mein Arbeitsverhältnis (Vertrag des 17.04.2014) fristlos. Daher stehe ich ihnen ab dem 16.04.2014 nicht mehr zur Verfügung"

period of notice of resignation (Kündigungsfristen) is actually 2 weeks, but due to the production line is currently suffer from insufficiency of machine operator (due to Rupert is undergoing operation), i am willing to prolong my stay of one week in Natsu until a suitable operator is found.

Regards

Let me hijack this thread:

how to translate "holzschnitartig" as in "seine Argumentation ist holzschnittartig"? Any bright ideas?

In the context of "machine operator," does it need to be sophisticated and erudite? :) Translation is all about context, be it country, culture, subject matter, etc.

No, in the context of trying to describe this posting:

and dont ask women fir sex, we hate that and we are becomming very angry about being constantly asked / told that we should "give men sex and not be mean" -ie give our bodies. (africans are the worst for that ) . even old ladies are asked for sex. one lady told me she has been asked 3 times. - feldberg altglashutten.

We are also cursed at in arabic by these masses of men who also spit when they see a western woman (with no hijab).- really bad in Tuttlingen.  seriously. this is a western culture, we dont want primitive muslim  culture enforced on us.

it is up to you to become western - no more muslim culture. if you want to have friends here. (a friend is someone who doesnt resent / hate you behind your back). you should also be independent and not receive any financial aid etc, etc if you really want to have friends. we dont like bludgers and us other foreigners never get a single cent of help, place to stay, any lifts by dogooder germans, no free or cheap internet, trin tickets, food, german classes etc, etc, etc. we also dint get just given a visa, (unless we are a lucky peron from he uk - eu member) , it must be  proven that there are no eu people, or refugees to fill a job before we can get it.

the previous "normal" reugees i have no problem with. but germany is being destroyes by these masses of freeloader male economic immigrants.

oh and also, if you want to have friends here, give your i phone to a german, ditch it. and dont get a new one. get an old crappy phone like the rest of us. then people will SEE that you are not one of "them" (the poor refugees, who always have the latest iphone and the best clothes)

How about "bigoted"; "prejudiced", or "idiotic"? Or my personal favorite, "fuckwittery"?

No, that would be too crude.

OK, am trying to use OLAF to get myself a Führungszeugnis.

With much teenage help, I have managed to do my basic Antrag, and create an account. The message on that account this morning told me something was wromng with my Antrag, and

bitte laden Sie eine unterschriebene Versicherung an Eides Statt hoch.

this was the thing. Now, when I originally filled in the thing, I uploaded a shot of my passport, and then another shot of my passport which I had signed. Assuming this morning's question meant that it hadn't uploaded, I re-upoladed the same signed picture.

But now I am wondering whether actually I need to take my passport (and a photocopy of it) and get someone else (presumably a doctor/teacher or whatever) to sign it. Is that what they mean?

I think I am an idiot. Has anyone done this before?

All I know is that my daughter got a Führungszeugnis recently to do Nachhilfe.  She made an appointment at the Gemeinde, took ID etc, paid about 30€ and got it posted to her within a few days.

My best guess.

Sounds like you need a professional witness to sign it and then upload it.

Maybe they will then carry out checks on the signatory and maybe they will simply rubber stamp it.

But at the end of the day, it's Germany and whatever you do, it will be wrong and they will let you know!

;)

Thanks Emkay - our office has no appointments until Nov. so I am being brave and doing it online. It is wonderfully simple in person, much better than the expensive and lengthy UK thing.

Yup, HF, I think you may be right. So I need to find someone with a posh job and get them to sign a copy.

Thankfully my second attempt at sending a pathetic one signed by myself (why did I think that would be enough?) failed to upload and as you say, they messaged me pretty quickly to tell me.

No idea, I’m afraid. It just sounds very British  with the doctor/ teacher approach- like getting a passport signature from a person of standing..

I tell you what, if we lived closer, I would happily put that to the test  no doubt they could do with a laugh down in Bonn or wherever they are.

Well, it's the weekend and the only 'professionals' who work on the weekend are the Clergy.

That's your best bet for a signature at such short notice.

So get yourself down to your local ... < insert place of worship here> ... throw some money in the collection tray and ask the ...<inset religious representative> ... to give you his autograph.

Watch out for religious molestation, though, Kiplette!

These guys have form!

Come to Crete! Need official stuff? You go to the notary or lawyer and they bring in 4 strangers from the street and give them an orange juice ( but not with ice or even fresh oranges!) and the illiterate strangers draw an x and the business is over!). And they get 10 euros or whatever!😂

And that is how your house is bought or sold😂.
The naivety on this forum is something else!
