No problem. I've had multiple surgeries here and was kept in hospital until all drains were removed and in one case after 7 days of physical therapy.

I did have one same day surgery on my foot. No drains and I had to give myself those blood thinning shots for a week. No problem.

"Socialism Sucks*", obviously. In Murica you'd be prescribed a bunch of opioids and never have to bother with all that hospital nonsense in the first place!

*In reference to a sign I saw being held up by a Trump moron.

OK, so I have been looking at pictures of people waiting/queuing to vote, and thought how great - people turning up, social distancing etc. and then read about a wait time of 11 hours+ for your turn.

How is this possible? Is this just this election - Covid plus Trump, or is this a USA 'thing' ?

If so, why?

Properly do not understand. Also properly impressed with the will of people to go through that to vote, and hope that people keep it up.

I think that in almost every state, people can vote by mail or remotely. There is no need to go stand in line in those places.

Sure.  But it is a choice.  And voting here is really quick.  No queues.  Not sure it is fair that people have to wait so long to vote in this manner.

It is complicated.  In many states you have to have a reason for using mail-in and/or absentee voting, and often times COVID-19 is not a valid reason.  Convenience is often also not a valid reason.

Because what is a 3 year old's birthday party without guns?

A 3-year-old boy has died at his birthday celebration after finding a family member’s gun and accidentally shooting himself in the chest.

The incident occurred at approximately 4:15 p.m. at a family residence in Porter, Texas, according to the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, when authorities were called to the home and found a 3-year-old boy with a gunshot wound to his chest.

“Family and friends had gathered earlier to celebrate the birthday of the three-year-old, and while playing cards, heard a gunshot,” the Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office said in a statement released to social media. “The child was located with a gunshot wound to the chest.”

According to authorities, it was learned during the investigation that the child had allegedly found the pistol after it fell out of a family member's pocket.

OK, thanks for letting me know. Here's what it said:

While my husband was queued up to vote, someone pulled his car up to the line outside the church and called out, 'How long have you been waiting?'

Some guy in the middle of the line yelled, 'Four years!', and the crowd cheered.
