From Crest toothpaste ads with his family in the 60s to not being afraid of burning in hell, President Reagan's son now touts atheism. God bless him. :)

Stupidest thing I've seen in a while-

Quote

Mattel is offering a solution to one of the trickier aspects of navigating a family holiday gathering – avoiding any political talk altogether – thanks to its new, limited-edition Nonpartisan Uno deck.

The card deck looks a lot like the classic Uno game that players ages seven and up have come to love throughout the years; however, red and blue cards have been removed entirely. Instead, the colors that have come to be associated with the Republican and Democrat parties, respectively, have been replaced with orange and purple instead.

“Without Red or Blue cards the focus can stay on the game,” the Mattel Games website reads.

Also new to the deck is the VETO card, which features the word "politics" with a no entry sign through it. If a player should begin to enter a political discussion, playing the card can result in that person losing his or her turn.

The limited-edition Uno deck, sold at Walmart, appears to have already sold out. Mattel did not immediately respond to Yahoo Lifestyle’s request for comment.

Have you not bought the latest Hasbro Xmas treat?  Ms Monopoly.  I do not need this.  The whole point of Monopoly is the cheating and being underhand. I am good at that.

"The game attempts to flip gender inequality on its head: female players collect $240 when they pass go, while men collect only $200. It’s a concept that feels like deliberate catnip for online outrage. "

Is there a particular detail that you find disturbing or are you just irritated that it is a pdf instead of a link?

Thanks for any insight.

Since Obamacare was implemented, "healthcare" stocks, i.e. finance and insurance wing of the healthcare complex have boomed.

United Healthcare Stock has gone up 1000% (10 fold) in the past 10 years.     Parabolic.

No idea what happened there, this link  https://www.axios.com/health-care-industry-on-track-massive-q2-profits-1533226387-dacec8f8-c9f5-406c-a49e-1103e3316c64.html and my comments are missing.

I find it incredible coming from the UK and Germany that while many people have no healthcare the healthcare companies themselves are making massive profits.

It`s not a Republican or Democrat thing it is an American thing.

The Democrats have had many opportunities to make a good healthcare for all  but have not done it yet so why anyone should believe they`ll do it if they win in 2020.

And we know the Republicans are more interested in profit and hate anything that may have a tinge of socialism about it (well except for police, fire, roads, farm bailouts and many more)

@Keleth it boils down to lobbying. Until Americans can grasp the concept that for profit healthcare is a horrible idea, it won't change as those seeking profit will forever be at the table or behind the scenes, often manipulating the discussion and always fighting for the biggest piece of pie they can get their hands on, never mind if others go hungry.

Democrats or whoever don't have a mandate to do whatever they like. Saying they've had the opportunity and repeatedly botched it is really naive and disingenuous. ACA is a perfect example of something that worked quite well in Massachusetts and was a huge step in the right direction, and was implemented nationwide against most odds by a democrat led administration. They did it!!!

But the original implementation has since been poisoned, weakened and broken in crucial ways by...haters, really. And of course profit seekers have done their best to exacerbate, wheedle and manipulate the outcome to grab as much pie as they could in the midst of the chaos. It's what they do.

So I'm surprised to hear anyone is surprised by the net result that profit seekers have really made a killing in this fiasco and that healthcare still sucks. Healthcare is big business in the US. Wrap your head around that and these intractable problems aren't so surprising. It won't change til profit is removed from the equation but that would be unmerican. rinse and repeat.

Break the AMA cartel and instead of limiting supply of doctors and physician assistants, train more.

Supply and demand.

good god. These people are voting. Are you?

Yes. Yes, I am voting, if it's the last thing I do.

Just like Senator McCain (a REPUBLICAN!), who dragged himself, dying from cancer, to the Capitol a last time to cast his vote and **save** the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (often misnamed Obamacare) from destruction by Trump's cronies.

There are more Soros Apostles working the fields of TT than I thought.

Hardly believable how many short minded people are out there.

Just look at the circus in Hongkong and the House of Congress in DC

and TT on the Internet. All the same, only the intensity differs.

Be glad there is a Trump. Not a top choice by any means, but by far the best that any of the two American parties can offer.

Why any of you smart people remain in the never, never wonderland of Germany and don't leave while the leaving is still good, beats me.

But then: Jedem Tierchen sein Plesierchen.( to each person by their pleasure)

"Be glad there is a Trump"

Judging from your own thread, The mind Ramschladen, you are a knowledgeable man.

Therefore, I am somewhat flummoxed that you think Trump is someone to behold.
