FYI, DS-Lite = Dual-Stack Lite

No evidence of DS Lite for me.

Well that's surprising. They said they were laying Glasfaser in the street, and I got 50Mbps (for a few months, before extra customers slowed it down to 15 :( ). Oh well. Good luck.

Well, you might still be on fiber, it's just that you are at the very least on a slower plan plus you aren't being forced (yet) into a DS-Lite solution.

I am definitely not on Fiber (Glasfaser I guess you mean). That has only just been laid in my town and is still not an option for me, so I guess it doesn't run into my street, rather along another street past my street!

I am on Surf and Fon 18 - which is as fast as they can offer me.

That might be my situation too, Glasfaser to the end of our street and copper up our actual street. I asked if I could have Surf and Fon 100 and they said the max I could have is 50, which I took, and for the first 6 months reliably got 50/5. Then other customers in our street started subscribing and it ate into the bandwidth (first down to 27, then 25, 22, 18, 17, 16 and now 15.5). They said I could switch to S&F 18 if I wanted, but then I'd lose my 5.5 uplink and settle for I think it was 1 Meg up. As I'm often uploading large files over a vpn to work and conferencing I'll put up with it. Besides 15/5 is waaaaay better than the 768k/128k I had with Telekom before M-net. OMG, how did I cope.

UncleJamal,

please provide screenshots of the fritzbox concerning

"Internet/Zugangsdaten", page "IPV6"

"Internet/Zugangsdaten", page "DNS-Server"

and open these two web pages

http://whatismyv6.com/

and post the results, too.

Hi CincyInde,

Dear Franklan,

01100111 01100101 01110100 00100000 01100010 01100101 01101110 01110100

Why should I "get bent"? Am I getting f*cked (by an off standard internet connection)? No, you are...

Let's have a look at what Uncle Jamal posts this evening, maybe there's a solution...

Cheers

Franklan

Some Germans have a sense of humor. Some.

Anyway, my comment had more to do with you telling me I'm too stupid to flash custom firmware. I guess I need a better sense of humor. :)

oh, by the way...

... won't work as such, you have to add ".myfritz.net" at the end.

if you are so 0x539, why did you sign up for such a crappy service? :-)

Up until now it's been quite nice. In the long run, the fact that M-Net is forcing ipv6 down our throats is not a bad thing. The growing pains suck, though.
