It does not work that well.  Guys on these meds can still have sex drive and erections though much reduced.  And much like anything else in prison, guys can cheat.   Transwomen in women's prisons, who voluntarily take these drugs, admit to cutting back, so they can still get erections.  These drugs for sure reduce sexual urge, which may make the guy more receptive to therapy.

My mother had breast cancer, first in the 70s, just surgical.  Second, 20 years later was less surgery, but more radio, and the drugs.  The radio probably caused her heart problems.  And she hated the drugs.   But sure, she lived to mid 80s.  Sorry, going off-topic here.

I just watched ( in German ) a report on Britain's worst ever rapist of males. Have already forgotten where I found the WhatsApp😟This is the story of this guy:

https://uk.news.yahoo.com/face-britain-worst-rapist-victim-reynhard-sinaga-113428676.html

I think the word used to describe him in the German report was hypnophiile- sexually aroused by sleeping/ unconscious people.

Glad he's locked up. And I don't care if he has a hard time in gaol.

By the way, in the German rreport, his surname was blanked out every time Manchester police mentioned it.

I am not keen of prison stabbings and rape.  Weird, I know.  What I find more weird, is they are now saying some men identifying as women, must serve out their sentence in a male prison.  But once they are released, they are allowed to use women's showers, toilets, sports and hospital beds.

I personally dislike violence against non- violent people. But it is his karma and his responsibility- he did the rapes and does he feel any remorse? Maybe or maybe not.But maybe only if he gets hassled himself.

I prefer to empathize with victims.

I really do not think encouraging prisoners to hurt and kill other prisoners is a good idea.  Not for them, nor for the people they harm.

I dislike violence but it is his problem. What was it? 150 victims? Buyer's remorse...

Edit:which reminds me:

Quickly scanned and was puzzled about the 📻.  How does a radio cause heart problems? 😂 Took me a few secs but I finally caught on. 😂 Two cultures separated by a common language.

Totally irrevelant comment by me, triggered by " two cultures separated by a common language."

Young, idealistic hitchhiker in the US ( moi!) and illegally there ( but I was 20 ) and a truck driver stopped and we rode. I was a non smoker and I knew " fag " was British slang for cigarette.

The truck driver offered me a ciggie and I rejected it because I was a non-smoker. " I don't like fags."

( I didn't know fag meant gay/ homosexual.

He was offended.

Can't remember what happened next or woh picked me up afterwards!

Also don't remember which State it waa . But I remember being annoyed hitchhiking was illegal in this State or the other!

Anyone else find it weird that every time the media mentions Gary Glitter, whose real name is Paul Gadd, they always mention what his real name is?  As if that somehow clarifies something.

The media normally mention any aliases the convicted person uses in case they contact someone under their alias rather than their known name. With Gary Glitter most people will know him by that name but not his real name so mentioning it will mean that people can be aware of who he is/what he has been convicted for if they only encounter him by his real name.

As if he can't come up with another alias.

Otherwise the jails would be even fuller.

This I get, but there are people who are likely to reoffend and paedophiles are amongst that group, and Mr Gadd has been doing his bad stuff for decades.

Boris Becker, although presumably a slime ball, is not going around kiddy fiddling, and whether he is in jail or not is of no wider interest, really.

Yes, works well in dogs. My daughter's male dog had a hormone chip implanted and he ignores the fact that her female one is on heat. Not sure though whether it works equally well in humans as rape etc. isn't merely dependent on sexdrive but there are other motivations at play as well (power, sadism, control etc.).

Yer, don't forget though that we put dogs to sleep if they are in pain and kill those that attack and bite people, hopefully we are not quite there with our fellow humans, they don't call it a dogs life for nothing!

Even the most drastic measures don't work. Last month the notorious paedophile Sydney Cook was blasted into space to spend the rest of his life aboard a one man prison vessel, posing no further thread to children on earth. But it was revealed that an 8 year old boy was also placed on board by mistake, and is now trapped alone in space with the monster. A spokesperson said: "this is the one thing we didn't want to happen."
