Aluminum-based deodorant is going to kill you

I'm still using the DM own brand. I've been using it for about 5 years and I've had no underarm staining - so I don't need to throw away clothes as often. I've stopped using it at weekends and surprisingly I stay dry .

I know, TMI...I used to have horrendous underarm sweating.  I think it was a nervous problem.  I could only wear black  and dark patterned tops, white too though I'd have to throw them out after a short time.

I asked my GP in the UK what I could do.  She prescribed Anhydrol Forte though it's now available without prescription from various online reputable sellers.  I know it contains Aluminium though after the first few days of application (applied at night to be washed off in the morning (4-7 days max )) years ago, I only need to reapply for one night every few years thereafter. Using only non aluminum deodorants is now fine for daily use though the effects aren't as long lasting as the aluminum varieties.  There are other similar formulations available online.  I recommended it to various friends and relatives who had been advised to have expensive Botox treatment.  They all say that it changed their lives...my neighbor went and bought a whole new lot of colourful tops ?

A good idea to check with a doctor though...I'm only suggesting the product (or similar foluma) as it's now available without prescription.

FWIW, I use roll-on.

I use roll-on too, I don't like any products that's aerosol and try to keep aerosols out of the house.

This is  the product I use,  Mum's no perfume or alcohol, but it's  aluminum based.  I'm allergic to all perfumes so been using this product for years, not scared off by using aluminum.

Been using Mum roll-on for years too, it's never let me down and doesn't stain my clothes.

I don't wear any deodorant at all, I just let people bask in the glory of my natural musk.

I recently bought Dove spray deodorant at Lidl that has no aluminium salts, but it burns like hell fires when I apply it.  I thought maybe it was because I'd just shaved my pits, but even after a few days of growth (gross, I know), it still burns like the devil.  It also does NOT last throughout the day like my regular Dove deo; I smell like an ape by the end of the day.  I've never tried any other non-aluminium deodorant, so I'm not sure if it's just Dove or in general.

Anybody else experience this with non-aluminium deos?

Yes. Alcohol burns! Quite often deo without aluminium contains alcohol!

I prefer Dove invisible roll on deo. I never apply deo after shaving, in fact at night time after showering I do not apply deo. I think it is good to let it all sweat out over night and then wash the armpits in the morning then apply deo.
