Bitcoin 24 keeps timing out for me.

Is it related to the high spike in price?

Their servers cannot keep up with the exuberant enthusiasm!

Jeremy Paxman did a piece about bitcoin on BBC Newsnight last night.

It's quite good, although the so-called "expert" economist is talking complete rubbish.

I suppose Newsnight had to get someone with a contrarian view just so that the BBC would appear balanced.

Many reports of hacked accounts today - make sure you have a strong password, SMS verification etc.

Transfer to cold wallet if you are planning on holding.

I don't quite get this:

There are a zillion ways to pay on the internet including legacy measures such as credit card and PayPal, which cover at least the first three points any maybe even the remaining two. I don't see Bitcoin giving me any advantages in Internet trading at all, except maybe transaction fees, but I've not experienced them yet, as I've not found anywhere that I buy actually accepting the currency.

I'd say ya don't.. Not only are BC's not blockable, but they are also untraceable. However, unless your buying

stuff from the internet black markets (Which only accept BCs) that prob. won't interest you either. If you wanted

to buy illegal stuff online would you really want that info on your CC/PP account details? Remember your CC

statements and PP history are relatively ease for law enforcement to get a hold of.. Not so with BCs..

I myself, don't buy thing from the internet underworld. The price fluctuations of BCs are also to erratic for my liking,

so I'm not going to bother with them just yet.

I have a question, which I am asking here as I don't find the answer I am looking for on the BTC forums.

How easy is it to create multiple wallets with Bitcoin qt and how do you do it?

Thanks in advance

Bitcoin hit $109.99 on the Bitcoin-24 market today, so it looks like $110 or more is on the cards very shortly...

I've browsed this thread occasionally but never considered the topic of much relevance to me. Then on Saturday afternoon, while sipping my coffee and reading The Economist with my TV on, I heard this news report airing on Sky News:

So now I'm going to look into bitcoins with more interest.
