lots of posts on where to find English style bacon, which I like a lot and buy on occasion, but does anyone have a clue where to find American style bacon that isn't cut so thin it's see through? I miss real bacon

My son prefers American bacon nice and crispy.

I always buy Herta Breakfast bacon. Can get in from Kaufland and toom. I am sure other supermarkets have it as well :)

Rashers are great. American style.

Kleinemas bacon is good as well, as is Tulip.

No bacon thread can be complete without the Bacon Explosion : http://www.bbqaddicts.com/blog/recipes/bacon-explosion/

That takes the term "food porn" to a whole new level. I mean this as a compliment.

simple and delicious

Bacon egg cups

Makes 12 cups

12 slices bacon

8 eggs

1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese

pinch of salt

1/4 tsp black pepper

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Whip the eggs, salt, pepper and cheese with a fork. Spray non stick spray in 12 muffin tins. Wrap each piece of bacon inside the sides of each muffin cup. Fill each bacon lined muffin cup 3/4 of the way with the egg mixture. Bake for 30-35 minutes, until the egg cups are golden brown and don’t jiggle. Use a knife to scoop them out of the tins. Serve immediately.

Comes in three smoked flavors applewood, hickory, or maple. With this briefcase you can literally bring home the bacon.
