I ran out of dried tarragon at least a couple of months ago and can't find it in any of the usual supermarkets.

...and weather permitting a few very early asparagus tips from the garden. .

FWIW the deep frozen asparagus (from Lidl, EDEKA etc) is very good - saves all the preparation work & never had a piece that was "wooden".

I can't find the post here on TT that gives a website where you can enter the name of an article you want to read and it will appear without the paywall.

Which is not shopping, I know, but there doesn't seem to be a thread for 'The Search function is not my friend' because yes, @Keydeck, I did do that first

Anyone know what I mean and can find it? It was pretty great.

https://12ft.io/

But you can always first try opening the URL of the article in a "new incognito window", by clicking with your right mouse button on that link and then choosing  "Open link in incognito window" in the context menu that appears.

This works for the "Washington Post", for example (the Washington Post URL do not work in 12ft.io): https://www.washingtonpost.com/

And you will see the entire article in the new incognito window:

Oh thank you, I'll save it this time :)

Spiegel doesn't seem to work with either method, which is a bummer.

Oh, grand plan.

We have Nordvnp so I'll get the password off a kid and see how that plays out.

The disappearing tarragon problem has been solved. I was fixedly looking at the herbs in the T section, having completely forgotten that it is Estragon in German. With my post-cataract op vision, all is revealed!

Why did shreddies (a uk breakfast cereal) dissapear? I guess the German's (or the expats) didn't buy enough of it. Seem strange some make it whist others don't.
