All choked up again. Just look at what he says about her. What a lovely father.

The lady in charge of arrangements at the Bloody Nora concert last night. No need to do it but made sure all the kids were fed and watered and looked after us all very well indeed.

I think more men should follow suit. Men in sarongs or kilts... oooooh.

Went for a long bike ride today. Had a puncture about 7 kilometres from home. Phoned a neighbour. She came and collected me. And then arranged for her son with a tractor (!) to collect my bike. Thank-you Silke, you know who you are.

Unfortunately, this award will have to be posthumous.

Oh *blush* - well there goes my street cred. But, ditto, SP. Glad we finally got to meet and get to know each other in person.

I will even (try and) forgive the initial ice breaker. When you pointed to my bike and asked: "Is that your broomstick."

Edit

Did ArachnaSow say something nice?

I hope you were nice, too, Spider!!!

*ahem* See ice-breaker.

(but yes, that is why it is easier to understand something in real, than just the written word - a reason why a lot may be misunderstood here. )

Therefore...

I volunteer teach 2 subjects, one grade level, at Jr's school. Now the principal has asked me to teach schoolyard ecology/ botany/ farming/ nature program to the entire school [6 grades] for free, just when I was considering doing it for money at my own little ranch as an after school program.

A new Dad at the school said today he would do it with me, because it's way too much work. And he owns a big-ass truck, important for garden maintenance. :) Hooray for those who step up to the plate and help! Thanks, new Dad, you get my nice guy award today.

I would also like to nominate my Turkish grocer on Schwanthalerstr. the fruit and veg is always good quality, fresh and much cheaper than in regular grocery stores. Regardless of what the total is, he always rounds it down to the nearest round number for me. A few weeks ago I was in line behind an old lady who seemed very confused. She had selected a few pieces of fruit and produced €0,63 from her change purse, her total was well over €1,00 but the grocer just waved her through.
