Need help planning a route in Bonn

5 posts in this topic

Hi there,

I've got a fun day coming up tomorrow. I have to take a train to Bonn, then swing past an internet cafe or somewhere I can print out some documents, and then proceed to the Russian consulate to try and get a visa. The documents are arriving from Russia some time after I get the train tomorrow morning, hence the need for an internet cafe or somewhere I can print stuff.

No printing, no visa!

Anybody got any suggestions of the correct route to take from the Hauptbahnhof that will accomplish these two things? I imagine taxis will be involved.

Thanks in advance,

L

I take it you don't have a laptop or other mobile device?

There's a print shop within walking distance of the Hbf here: http://maps.google.com/maps?q=50.73306,7.100934 - doesn't solve the internet problem, though.

As for getting to the Russian consulate, I'd suggest taking a regional train or U-Bahn (line 16 or 63) to Bad Godesberg and a taxi from there - should save you some euros.

Another option would be to skip Bonn and take the train directly to Bad Godesberg. Teleplace on Bonner Straße 39 looks promising, and is within walking distance of BaGo Bf: http://goo.gl/maps/ul6k

There's an internet cafe in Bad Godesberg, I can't remember what it's call, but it's kind of opposite to Aldi - Bonner Str 36. There's a sign outside you shouldn't miss it. They're really cheap and you can also print from there too.
