English-speaking hairdresser in Nuremberg?

8 posts in this topic

I'm quite new to Nuremberg and it's getting to the point where I can't avoid going to get my hair cut.

Does anybody know any hairdressers that they'd recommend? I live in central Nuremberg and don't trust that my current level of German wouldn't result in requesting a head shave or something.

Many thanks

if you ask google, it's pretty forthcoming and here are some examples:

Highly recommended if you're in need of an English speaking scissorsmith. ... Qype 2011 - Friseur Horst Selner - Innenstadt, Nuremberg - Hairdressers.

And I think Toytown has a bunch of threads on it too. Myself, I go to Laura at Toupet or not toupet (random name, but great place)

I went to Nuremberg recently and got my hair done by Wasiliki in Carmens Frisierstube, she doesn't speak any english but she was patient with the bad german I was coming out with and I'm more than happy with my hair. The owner is Carmen who also does hair and has some level of English. The salon made me feel very comfortable, it was very cheap for a full head of highlights, cut and blowdry - I even got a free conditioner thrown in!

The salon address is: Carmens Frisierstube, Johannisstr. 42 40419 Nuremberg. Tel. 0911 336226/ 0911 3737489. Website: carmens-frisier-stube.de and they're even open on mondays from 08.30-18.30.

I've also been to Victoria at Carola Hair in Erlangen Arcaden - she speaks very good English. It's a bit on the pricey side and they do like to upsale. She'll present you with a breakdown of costs so be sure to say no to any treatments etc you do not want. An all over colour, cut & blowdry cost a little more than 100euro. I don't have the address or telephone number here but it's all on their website at http://www.carola-hair.de/shops

Sandra B. in Nuremberg is great! The salon is very clean and professional and I know both Sandra (the owner) and Jenny speak English but I imagine most of them do. I know people who have gone to both Sandra and Jenny and they both did a fantastic job!

Yes Thomas a friend of mine jointed the hairdresser staff from Toupet Or Not Toupet recently. He speaks english fluently, and has some foreign customers too. Furthermore he frequently participate at the hairstyling trainings from Vidal Sassoon in London. Thomas website https://www.friseur-thomas-mierdel.de/
