Tinks. Get the image up on Google then press the "PrtSc" key on your keyboard (normally top right hand side). Now open up MS Paint and do an EDIT > PASTE. You can then save it as a .JPG. When you make a post to Toytown click on "FULL EDITOR" and then you have an option to upload a file.

This is awful, be persistant with the police..it is their job to take this seriously. I have to go out just now, but if you need any help with uploading information, or help with facebook, then I am happy to help. I will be back in the afternoon, and will check back to see how it's going.

But it is, she is trying to find the guy right ?

Modern technology is the way to do it and the Police always start there plus mobile phones if they exist.

I talked to her, he has no phone, no money, no wallet, nothing.

Just the clothes on his back lightweight pants and a t shirt, he only grabbed his housekey. He did not even have a jacket.

Anyone with a fax machine that you can use out there?

Best first step here in my mind is to fax the picture above to any of the hospitals in and around the area he went missing to see if he matches any "John Does" they had arrive in the last 24 hours.

Maybe the OP, who is going to the doctor anyway, can bring the picture and the doctor will know who to send it to in the hospitals too.

Certainly contacting the hospitals and asking if any JD came in in the last 24 hours is a minimum first step. Anyone out there with German better than mine that could try this?

Also anyone with good german but NO fax machine could still look up the local hospitals for us, find the fax numbers, and post them on this thread for people WITH fax machines to use.

That is the norm, she went to the police the same day 24 hours is the standard, unless rave danger ie a diabetic without meds. They have to establish the persona s actually missing and as they told the OP not a t a friends or pub.

She is trying to lunch the missing persons report again today now that it has been 24 hours

Good idea. Here's a list (leave out the specialised clinics): =125626"]Frankfurt.de, Krankenhäuser. Unfortunately I don't have a fax machine.

EDIT: I can do what Featherlight proposes (send picture per E-Mail to the hospitals). Is that okay with you, Tinks?

I doubt a faxed picture will work, It will most likely show up as a black square where the picture is at.

A good point. Anyone with photoshop out there that can re-post a grey scale version of the picture on here just in case anyone with a fax does want to send the picture out for us?

Email is of course also a good idea but people in offices tend to treat letters and faxes more seriously than one of the emails in their inbox.

Oh no, this is awful. Tinks, I'm in the office during the day unfortunately but I could help tonight if that's any help, or during the weekend (all weekend). I can also help with posters etc. if you would like. I pray the police provide more support when you go there today. Tell them about his possible depression too. I can only imagine how you must be feeling right now. Sending you lots of strength! And I'm sure lots of Frankfurt TTers just haven't logged on/seen the thread yet.

There are plenty of online services that provide email2fax and fax2email portals. I think even gmx has one if you sign up for their premium mail service.

Edit: They do have one and you can sign up for one months trial free
