Upgrading a Humax Freesat PVR to a Media Server

The latest Channel Editor add-on for the above extensions finally allows you to mix Freesat and non-Freesat channels in the same reception mode. If you have a dual-LNB dish for both German and English TV reception this means that the Humax PVR can now be used to view and record channels from both satellites without the hassle of having to change in and out of "Freesat" mode, and retains all the advantages such as EPG of the Freesat service. There is no EPG for non-Freesat channels but it's easy to setup timed recordings one you know channel and time.

I know this is an old thread, but I'm wondering if there is anything similar to this that could be used to set up a Humax HDR-1000S as a media server on my network, so I can stream recordings to another room?
