South African Stammtisch in Munich

33 posts in this topic

Hi All!

Once a month the South Africans in Munich hold a Stammtisch.

It is usually the first Saturday of the month, from around 7pm. Venue can vary from time to time so check the posts below for latest info.

Sometimes the indoor Stammtisch will be replaced with a braai out in one of the parks or down by the Isar.

Regards,

Michelle

5. April at location mentioned above. It's always very well attended, so you won't have any problem finding the group. Apparently starts at 19:00, but I think most people arrive a bit later.

Probably a stupid question, but how would I know which group to look for? I don't suppose everyone wears Springbok jerseys?:) Would hate to park my backside at a table full of Germans and fire away in Afrikaans!! Mind you, that could be quite funny...

It's usually a group of about twenty people. It's likely that several of them will be wearing Springbok jerseys and speaking die taal, so you really can't miss them. I'm not 100% sure I'm going, but I'll send a pm to maddul - he organises these things and can hopefully give you his number or something.

Hi guys & gals!

As you all know by now, we are having a different kind of Stammtisch this

month. We will be playing tennis (you should all have received an Email

about this) and then we will have a braai. I know that not many of you are

playing tennis, but should you want to join us for the braai.. please let

us know by Wednesday.

At the moment we have registered 25 people and we might have a problem if

to many people join us unexpectedly. But hey.. 'n boer maak 'n plan.

Should it rain, we will have the Stammtisch at the usual place. (Same as last month)

------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Hope to see many of you, keep your fingers crossed that the weather is

going to be lekker and here is to the Bokke beating the Ozzies 53-8 last

Saturday.

Date: Saturday September 6th

Time:13:00 – we will start playing at 14:00, but need to sort out the teams first, so please be there at 13:30 latest!

Place: Tennis-Club Pasing eV

Agnes-Bernauer-Str. 241

81241 München

Tel: 089 83378-0

www.tcpasing.de for more info.

Google Maps of Tennis Club Pasing

MetroBus 57 - Laimer Platz Westbad - or -

Tram 19 - Theatinerstraße Westbad

It is really close to the tram stop, so easy access with

public transport.

Cost: EUR 8,50 pp for the tennis.

Additional Info:

We will be playing mixed doubles and have 8 teams in

total. One match will be maximum 30 min.

Please note:

Unfortunately we cannot rent rackets there, but we do

have a couple spare for those who don’t have a racket. If you do have

a racket, please bring it along.

Braai in the eve:

We booked a Braai-Buffet for EUR 12,00 pp at the club starting at approx. 18:30 which includes meats, salads, bread/brezen etc.

Should the weather not play along we will hold the Stammtisch at the

normal venue at the Augustiner am Dom, but we will inform you on Thursday

September 4th at the latest should this be the case.

Looking forward to seeing you all in your tennis outfits and ready to hit

some balls!

Cheers,
