New in Frankfurt (or new to this Forum)

Hiya!

Hope you don't throw me out from this site for not being a native English speaker..:)

I'm 22yrs old girl from Finland. I'm moving to Frankfurt (Höchst) next week and I'm very excited about that!

I've lived in England and I speak English fluently (people very often think I'm Canadian..Nothing wrong with that I guess:). Anyway - I'm looking forward to meet new people so if anyone is interested meeting up and changing thoughts I'm up for it!

Thanks,

Outi

Hello everyone... just signed up and thought I would introduce myself.

I just moved here 2 months ago from Holland (to where I moved 5.5 years ago from Greece) and I realized I am working too hard to not have a life at all after leaving the office! You easily get carried over working like crazy when you don't know people and can't speak the language. What else about me... I am Greek, 29 y.o and absolutely love meeting new people from different countries with different experiences.

It's nice to see so many people active in organizing events here so I 'll certainly be joining one of those soon

Hello to all,

recently found and joined TT and I'm already a big fan. Sorry that I didn't introduce myself properly before adding my (idiotic) comments to one or the other thread.

To introduce myself; I've spent most of my adult life in Germany & really love life here. Quirky as the place maybe sometimes.

I've been in Deutschland since '93 (this stint), married a local girl 10 years ago & we have a great son.

My main intrestes are: camping, canoeing, fishing & anything outdoors.

Last year I finally done the whole fishing license thing, so anyone in the Frankfurt area fancy joining up sometime to teach some stuborn German fish a lesson or two?

"Curry Night" sounds brilliant.

Great website.

Cheers

Ged

Hi all,

I am quiet new in FF and found this website to meet other new people in FF.

I am 24 and I am from New Zealand. I love to meet new ppl and have fun!

I have been in Germany now for about a year but it has been quiet hard to meet new people with my work life in FF...but I hope this site can change that!

I love electronic music and I love travelling.

Thx!

Cheers

Thomas

Hi everyone

My name is Iris - I have been in Frankfurt for a year but have only just discovered this forum. I was born in Hong Kong and grew up in New Zealand. I am totally keen to get involved in some of the social events and meet more people who live in Frankfurt!

Hi everyone,

I'm Angela, a 29-year old from Chicago. I came to Frankfurt about 4 weeks ago for a new job, where I'm a Graphic Designer. I'm currently living in a hotel in Bockenheim, and looking for flats. I'm excited to meet new people here, especially possible travel companions. I'm always up for an inexpensive weekend trip, and hope to explore more in Germany and in the surrounding countries.

By the way, if anyone knows of a flat available, let me know! I'm looking for 2 rooms, built-in kitchen, under $720 warm. Thanks!

Hey all-

Like some on this thread, I've been around FF for a little while, since last August. Anyway, new to TT. Originally from Michigan, but quite enjoying the time I've had here. Mostly like to travel and flyfish, but it's a little difficult here with all the rules and regs...Germany... I know, I got myself into it. Any newcomers should definitely check out the FNDC organized by "action". Good times!

Seems like there are a lot of anglophil folks in their twenties ( as I am too) around, maybe it would make sense to meet up all together in Frankfurt at a cozy bar/restaurant, what do you think?

yes, for example a group like that one, does anyone think it would make sense to start some new meetup like that?

Hello everyone,

I just moved to Frankfurt (directly on the Zeil). I don't know this town and hardly anyone here yet. After getting over the most urgent things (moving into my new apartment, doing all the paper work, understanding what my new job is about, ...) I'm now eager to get my social life moving.

I'm a German who after many years living in foreign countries as an expat (last stays: Bangkok, Jakarta, Geneva) has now returned to Germany, where I still feel a bit foreign. Would be fun linking up to the local expat scene and joining in some activities. I'm a 34 year old woman working in international development cooperation.

Cheers, Folke

P.S. Hay alguno/as latino/as aqui? Apakar ada orang Indonesia di sini?

Hello Folke and welcome to Toytown!

If you like writing or reading and discsussing you really should attend our Tuesday night writers Meet Up at Starbucks in Frankfurt ( Große Bockenheimer 50, 7.30 pm).

We are a bunch of people who write different stuff ( book, essays, short stories, blogs) and who like to exchange thoughts and paying 2.50 Euro for a simple coffee :D

Looking forward to see you around :)
