My very first post in a discussion, i just couldn´t resist it! For those of you who are trying to justify/explain the word negger (this is the only time i will write/use it) - it is an INSULT! period!!

I don´t care and don´t wanna know if you finally got the right meaning/justification coz everytime i saw the word in your posts i got disgusted and scrolled down as fast as i could. You kept repeating the word as if you enjoy using it - like 20 times? You coulda "atleast" have said the N-word.

and btw i find it even more insulting/disgusting when wrote/pronounced in german!

I have had my fair share of the whole "ching ching chong chong thing" (hasn't happened in a while, but it did whenever I was visiting Berlin, late night on the Ubahn in Munich and for some reason in all the big cities in Spain.) It bothered me a lot. I tried revenge, I would make fun of their mullets, shoes or pretend I was speaking "their" language. But as fun as that was, I didn't want to insult a whole culture over some uneducated idiots.

So, I started to have fun and be brave with the situation. After a year or two, when I got the whole "ching ching chong chong" thing, I would stop, look at them with confusion and serious disgust, and then ask them why they just told me that they love licking their own a-holes, and then walked away shaking my head. Their faces were priceless. First couples times I did this in English, and then I learned how to do it in Deutsch. What is important is that it doesn't bother me anymore, and I'm sure those kids will think twice before they pretend to speak another language.

I simply ask them to show me a copy of their Deutschblütigkeitserklärung.

why would you fight rudeness and ignorance with rudeness and ignorance? Actually, I'm not positive, but I suspect that you could get in a lot of trouble for doing this (Beleidigung).

I also suspect that you actually mean Ahnenpass or Ariernachweis. The Deutschblütigkeitserklärung was given to people with some Jewish blood.

I am not sure whether you mean "nigger" or "negger"

If it is the latter: The word "negger" has been used here as someone who gives negative ratings. "I negged you" or "I am the negger of all your posts." -ish.

Just sayin'

Which was Lensman's point, I thought. Or am I mistaken.

I didn't neg you. I also do not think your post deserves ***6 negs. You are only saying that you don't like the word "nigger" - I don't, either. I agree, it is usually insulting. (I will give you a green when I finish this)

If you want to quote a post, click onto "multi quote" at bottom of post - then click onto "add reply" at the top or bottom of page.

If you do not quote directly, just say which posts you are referring to - makes it easier for the reader to understand.

And welcome to posting on TT.

I'm definitely not justifying their behavior, but with such a large Turkish population in Germany, at least they have each other to survive in Germany even with means of violence. It is a sad fact but It's got nothing to do with their (ueber)traditional Muslim upbringing.

I think you're wrong there. It has alot to do with their upbringing. But not particularly muslim, but in MANY cases for turkish standards "backward" clan like anatolian upbringing. Ask people from Istanbul about Anatolia. And BECAUSE they're in high numbers many women cannot speak a word of German after 35 years. Something in the anatolian culture is very counterproductive for integration. Treatment of women and the idea of "honour", losing face, pride etc.

The German school system doesn't fit very well either and sorts out early, but integration is a 2 way road. On of the biggest problems is the fact even moderate families do not accept their girls having German boyfriends. The nicest guy will not accept his sister "whoring around" - speak seeing a German guy. And guys are allowed to "whore around" with German girls. If you ever see how Turkish girls treat each other you will understand. Self imposed segregation.

No problem will ever be solved if people continue to blindly accept the victim card on the side of the turks, because reality is telling another story. In reality they're a large group who are just as the Germans, not too keen on mingling. In reality they do have different core values and are very conservative. If Erdogan comes to Cologne to speak in front of 20k turks and calls assimilation a crime and asks for turkish only universities and schools you have a problem. The average Turk is more likely to rub his national pride in your face, islam doesn't come first in my experience.

In many aspects Turkey is far ahead compared to its German diaspora.

I'm going to get downvoted to fuck here by bunch of people who have no idea about the subject and have never been to Japan.

Japan is one of the most racist countries in the world today. It is VERY common to see "JAPANESE ONLY" signs on all sorts of businesses, from night clubs to regular restaurants. When someone Japanese pisses and moans about racism, I laugh. Hard. Because as racist as they are at home, once they're in the West and think it to their advantage, they scream about one thing or another being racist. And just how badly racist they are to you depends how dark your skin is, unless you're Chinese in which case you're such an Untermensch you don't merit mention.

A United Nations report a few years ago wrote specifically about "deep and profound" racism in Japan (and the blind eye the government turns toward it).

So racism here in Germany? The biggest problem is with non-Germans. As for your friend, she's crying alligator tears.

woof.

I agree with the Japanese overt racism...but again, once in Japan, it is a very homogeneous country and if you had any real idea of their culture you'd know that this kind of stuff really only applies to the older generation. How does the fact that Japan may be very racist excuse the fact that a Japanese girl, who probably doesn't have the same kind of disposition, should suffer whilst in Germany? Also, the Japanese only sign most of the time has to do with the fact that foreigners of any nationality would not be able to understand much less abide by their "traditions." Often times if you go with a local Japanese person willing to guide you through, the establishment will relent and let you in. And fyi, in Japan, you might feel excluded and feel like it's racism, but they are always polite. Which is more than you can say about the rest of the world making "wang fawo bao" Chinese noises to someone who's not even Chinese.

Between even harder laughs you sputter out, "Dude! You just said you like to lick your grandma's penis!" and keep laughing. He's no doubt be even more furious and demand you repeat it. "You said, it, not me. 'Ching chong sing sha' means 'I like to suck gran's cock'. It's funny."

While I didn't particularly enjoy Bad Doggie's first post, this one did make me laugh. It's true, I think that could work!

I am hoping to relocate to Germany sometime next year, and stories like these tense me up a little bit. I just have to remind myself that leaving home always comes with a risk of being uncomfortable, and that most people mean well, although they might not be the most compatible match.

Hey Chai, I think it is great that the tense feelings you get from posts like this won't restrict you to living just in one country. Personally, I don't know why, but being in different countries make me understand more about myself and what I want out of life. In Germany, for some reason, I get the particular urge to garner more knowledge and have a higher drive to attain perfection. Could be something inherent about the attitude and culture here ;)

Hahaha, how do you say that in Deutsch? This does sound like a good way to deal with the situation :)

I understand Negger to mean Negroe in German. It is old fashioned and not considered politically correct anymore in English speaking countries but I doubt the old Germans who use it mean it in an insulting way. But then again lots of us are insulted by some of the everyday activities of Germans anyway so I am not saying you shouldn't be. I've heard an older German who is dear to me use this term and I am quite sure he doesn't mean it in a racist way.

BTW - I will give you a greenie if you find the apostrophe on your German keyboard. :)
